On the day before the Gaza flotilla confronted the Israeli navy, Al-Jazeera TV documented the pre-battle atmosphere created by men on board the flotilla, who chanted a well-known Islamic battle cry invoking the killing and defeat of Jews in battle:”[Remember] Khaibar, Khaibar, oh Jews! The army of Muhammad will return!”

Khaibar is the name of the last Jewish village defeated by Muhammad’s army in 628. Many Jews were killed in that battle, which marked the end of Jewish presence in Arabia. There are Muslims who see that as a precursor to future wars against Jews. At gatherings and rallies of extremists, this chant is often heard as a threat to Jews to expect to be defeated and killed again by Muslims.

Al-Jazeera also interviewed a woman who said that the flotilla participants’ goal was “one of two happy endings: either Martyrdom or reaching Gaza.”

Of course the shipment was only full of flower petals, Superman magazines and white doves. Oh yes. It was also highly likely to have contained explosives, Kal Iranian-made, long-rage Fajr-5 missiles. But only to be used self-defensively by destroying Israeli kindergartens and pizza houses. How do we know this? Because a hell of a lot of similar shipments have contained weapons and explosives heading for Hamas and other nice and peaceful Islamist groups.

It’s certain that the Turki Foundation, and the other Islamists aboard, were planning on violence. Indeed they wanted violence. They had already said that they ‘fully intend to go to Gaza regardless of any intimidation of threats of violence against us’. They are only doing their Islamic duty against the Jews! Also, the Israelis, when aboard, were immediately attacked with knives, daggers and cudgels. Instead of killing the Islamists outright, the Israelis chose to use tear gas against the enemy. Al Jazeera also reported that gun shots were heard on the boats.

We can be deeply cynical, but nevertheless accurate, and say that these ‘aid convoys’, whether run by Islamist militants like the Turki Foundation or, well, by IslamoTrot militants like Viva Palestina, are not really about supplying the death camps of starving Palestinians with food and other much-needed supplies (such as long-range rockets which can go deep into Israel). They are primarily, or even exclusively, about propaganda and publicity.

 Gaza Strip is not actually suffering a real ‘humanitarian crisis’ at all since the Palestinians are already being supplied Israel. Indeed any journalists who care to see will realise that hundreds of Israeli trucks daily supply the Gazans with food and other needies – but not, sadly, offensive weapons. That’s where the Turki Foundation may well come in.

Cynthia McKinney, 20 Others, Held by Israel

 A boat carrying aid to pro-Palestinian groups in the Gaza Strip was surrounded and boarded by Israeli forces off the coast of the Gaza Strip Tuesday. Former Georgia Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney was one of the 21 people on board who were taken into Israeli custody and held at the port of Ashrod in Israel.

McKinney is quoted as saying that the confrontation was “an outrageous violation of international law,” and she claimed the boat was on a humanitarian mission and was not in Israeli waters.

The Israeli military said the boat tried to violate Israel’s security blockade and enter Gaza illegally.

The 21 passengers and crew on the Greek-registered ship “Arion” were working with the U.S.-based “Free Gaza Movement.” Among them, besides McKinney, was 1977 Nobel Peace Prize recipient Mairead Maguire.

Israeli forces have maintained a blockade on the Palestinian territory since 2007, partly to prevent smugglers from delivering weapons and munitions to Gaza.

McKinney was involved in a similar incident exactly six months earlier, on December 30, 2008. She was on the S.S. Dignity, and it collided with an Israeli navy craft that was part of the same blockade as she and her group claimed they were attempting to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza.

Said McKinney then, “Our mission was a peaceful mission, to deliver medical supplies. And our mission was thwarted by the Israelis, the aggressiveness of the Israeli military.”

Now, as then, the Israeli government is accusing McKinney and her group of knowingly entering waters internationally recognized as under Israeli security and control.

The Israeli Consulate General of Israel in Atlanta e-mailed a statement to 11Alive News pointing out that humanitarian aid organizations are delivering supplies into Gaza every day — by land.

The statement said, “Once again, former Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney and her fellow travelers have taken it upon themselves to disregard their own safety… by leading a boat into restricted waters. Ms. McKinney ignored the available and legal means for the delivery of aid to the Gaza Strip and instead chose to make a reckless political stunt.”

The “Free Gaza” website, freegaza.org, quotes McKinney as saying that she and her group are in the right.

It is a central theme of this blog that Barack Obama was promoted to the presidency of the United States, by several Marxist groups including Democratic Socialists of America.

While this sounds far – fetched to some, there is nothing new about socialists working inside the Democratic Party to put “their” candidates into very high positions.

The late Millie Jeffrey was a leader in the United Auto Workers and an high ranking Democrat for decades.

In 2000 President Bill Clinton presented Millie Jeffrey, with the nation’s highest civilian honor bestowed by the U.S. Government, the Presidential Medal Of Freedom, with a citation, saying those awarded “have helped America to achieve freedom.”

In the 1950 and 60s, Jeffrey was a Democratic Party National committeewoman from Michigan. In 1960, she helped campaign for John F Kennedy, as a member of the Democratic National Committee.

After mobilizing the Michigan Democratic Party behind JFK in 1960, she then reportedly pushed JFK to initiate the Peace Corps.

Millie Jeffrey quit the DNC in the late 60s to protest the Vietnam War and to work for Robert Kennedy.

Less publicized were the facts that Millie Jeffrey was also a long time leader of Democratic Socialists of America, a ‘midwife’ to the radical Students for a Democratic Society and a veteran of the communist infiltrated Womens International League for Peace and Freedom.

Jeffrey also travelled to the Soviet Union in 1969 and to the Peoples Republic of China in 1974.

According to Democratic Socialists of America member and prominent journalist Harold Meyerson, Millie Jeffrey remained highly influential inside the Democratic Party.

In the early ‘70s, during her final years on the staff of the United Auto Workers, she helped found the National Women’s Political Caucus and launched a decade-long campaign to have Democratic National Convention delegate slots divided equally between men and women.”

From her perch on several Democratic Party commissions, and using the contacts she’d acquired in 40 years of liberal activism, Millie built enough support for this wild-eyed notion that it was adopted by the 1980 convention.

That wasn’t all Millie Jeffrey achieved. She and a group of “co-conspirators” succeeded in placing left leaning Geraldine Ferraro on the Democrat ticket as the Party’s first female vice Presidential candidate.

Millie then became “the unelected leader,” in the words of her co-conspirator Joanne Howes, of a committee of seven Democratic women promoting the idea of a female vice presidential candidate on the 1984 ticket. “By the fall of 1983,” recalls Howes, “we came to the conclusion that the right person was Gerry Ferraro” – then an obscure member of Congress from Queens. That required augmenting Ferraro’s visibility and bona fides, and as a result of “Millie’s strategic thinking,” says Howes, the group successfully pressured the party and Walter Mondale to make Ferraro chair of the convention platform committee. The rest is herstory.

This is a good insight into how the US left works inside the “Democratic” Party. A small group of Party ‘insiders’, led by a well connected socialist, had a good shot at putting ‘their’ candidate into the Number 2 spot in the White House.

Let’s all be thankful for Ronald Reagan.

In 20 years time, will Democratic Socialists of America, or their Communist Party and Committees of Correspondence for Democracy and Socialism allies finally admit their role in putting Barack Obama into the White House?

Socialist Bill Lucy slams Arizona, calls Obama “friend”

Calling the recently passed Arizona anti-immigrant law a “most dreadful piece of legislation” and likening it to apartheid South Africa’s passbook program, Coalition of Black Trade Unionists President Bill Lucy told the 700 delegates and guests at the organization’s 39th convention in Detroit that the CBTU would be moving its 2011 convention from its scheduled location in Phoenix.

“We have to join in that fight,” said Lucy, even though his organization may face severe penalties for breaking its hotel contract.

Lucy, who is also secretary-treasurer of the 1.6-million-member American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, and a long time member of the marxist Democratic Socialists of America said that the law targets immigrants who “have as much right to be here as any other nationality.”

“People want a decent job and better life and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that,” he said. “We need an immigration law to bring 12 million people out of the shadows and give them legitimacy. Yes we can!“

Lucy also went on to praise the president a long time associate of Democratic Socialists of America.

“President Obama is our friend; we want to be seen with him day and night. He’s our best chance“ said Lucy.

Lucy reminded everyone that President Obama inherited the greatest mess since FDR. Our economy was “going down the sewer” until this president came into office, Lucy noted. Obama has the sensibilities and program to reclaim this country for regular people, he said, but he warned that “Republicans will never vote for anything that allows him to claim success bringing this country back.”

Like the “Frog in the Boiling Pot”: Stealth Socialism by ACORN Exposed

 

The boiling frog story is a widespread anecdote describing a frog slowly being boiled alive. The premise is that if a frog is placed in boiling water, it will jump out, but if it is placed in cold water that is slowly heated, it will not perceive the danger and will be cooked to death. The story is often used as a metaphor for the inability of people to react to significant changes that occur gradually.

The boiling frog story is generally told in a metaphorical context, with the upshot being that people should make themselves aware of gradual change lest they suffer eventual undesirable consequences.

ACORN insider lays out the ‘stealth socialism’ strategy

Anita Moncrief has written a worthwhile personal account of her involvement with ACORN, and effectively lays out the entire strategy the Alinksy left, and its chosen instrument, Barack Obama, to “fundamentally change” America. Moncrief describes the moment in 2008, when she went from unwitting to witting, in terms of the strategy to make America into a people’s socialist republic. 

As an ACORN insider my indoctrination as a socialist was a slow but steady progression from radical liberalism to embracing the stealth socialist methods that had made ACORN a powerful force in American electoral politics. Two years ago, in the mist of a heated presidential election year, I noticed a Facebook page of Socialism 2008. The graffiti-like picture beckoned young Socialists to Chicago, Illinois on June 19th, 2008. I RSVPed for the event on Facebook without fully understanding what had just taken place. The line between radical, liberal Democrat and socialist was almost invisible at this point.

Working for ACORN/Project Vote facilitated my crossing the “socialist”threshold and I had become what insiders termed “one of the true believers.” True believers were instrumental in the survival of ACORN and the process of making an employee a true believer began on the very first day.

The entire essay, appearing at Hot Air is worth reading. She names names and doesn‘t mince words. Here is one tidbit:
 

From October 2005 until 2008, I did fundraising work with ACORN and used political donor lists. All Democrat: Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, John Kerry, Democratic National Committee. When I appeared as a guest on “The O’Reilly Factor” last year, I said that ACORN had served for years as an unofficial arm of the Democratic Party, but Bill O’Reilly didn’t discuss that with me. Ignoring it is exactly what the stealth socialists want.

 
Moncrief discusses the troubles facing the stealth socialist coalition now:
 

… it seems impossible that the coalition that put Obama in the White House and gave Democrats huge majorities in both the Senate and the House of Representatives will continue to work smoothly together now that Obama and the Congressional Democrats are in control and America is learning what Obama really meant by the seductive-sounding “hope and change.” ACORN needed the cloak of stealth socialism to maintain its hold on the poor. ACORN’s image is synonymous with blacks and other minorities and the race card has become the last bastion of its “hope.”

ACORN had figured out early on how the Washington money game was played.  It got ACTION to pay one of its subsidiaries called the Midwest Academy to train VISTA volunteers, who then worked for ACORN projects on the taxpayers’ tab.  It also got direct grants to pay for salaries of its own staff.  Author Rees calls the leftist Saul Alinsky’s organization “positively rightwing by comparison,” which is saying quite a bit. 

In an article by David Walls, Professor Emeritus of Sociology at Sonoma State University, he stated,

Around 1970 several national networks began to coalesce and develop systematic and distinctive approaches to community organizing. These include [Alinsky's] Industrial Areas Foundation (IAF), ACORN, Citizen Action, National People’s Action, PICO, DART, and the Gamaliel Foundation. Each was indebted, in greater or lesser degree, to Alinsky and his early organizing programs in Chicago through IAF.

Over the years, ACORN grew into an organization with fairly well-defined goals.  It runs a large voter-registration effort, which claims to have registered 1.3 million new voters during this election cycle.  It agitates for so-called “living wages” and union organizing, with Wal-Mart as a frequent target.  It pushes for banks to lend to low-income borrowers on a large scale, which almost certainly was instrumental in the recent financial crisis.  It also does a smorgasbord of other big-government advocacy, such as pushing for government intervention in healthcare, housing, utility regulation, and the like.

Their recent aggressive voter-registration practices have crossed the line of legality, and landed them in hot water in over a dozen states, for registering voters such as Mickey Mouse, or entire professional sports teams who don’t exist. Barack Obama has utilized ACORN and its affiliates to register 150,000 new voters in Chicago for his 1994 state senate election, which likely provided the margin of victory.

From CNN. A short piece reporting out her Brookings speech recently. The best part? She cites Brazil:

“Brazil has the highest tax-to-GDP rate in the Western Hemisphere and guess what – they’re growing like crazy,” Clinton said. “And the rich are getting richer, but they’re pulling people out of poverty.”

Go Hillary! Of course, she made the needless to say point that she doesn’t speak for the Obama Administration. But we should keep Brazil in mind in the upcoming deficit wars this fall if/when the catfood commission comes back with no meaningful taxes for the wealthiest of the wealthy.

That’s right.  Ever since she became Secretary of State, her favorables have soared into the mid-60′s, putting her well clear of any other statewide officeholder in the country.  The only national figures who are viewed as favorably as Clinton are Michelle Obama, Colin Powell, and David Patraeus. However, they have never run for office, which invariably lowers your favorables.

Hillary Clinton will turn 69 in in the final week of the 2016 campaign, which makes her slightly younger than Ronald Reagan when he first was elected in 1980.  Also, as Secretary of State, a major presidential candidate, a U.S. Senator, and First Lady, she is also probably more credentialed than any other potential Presidential candidate, too.  There is even talk she may become the next Secretary of Defense, further adding to her credentials.

Some have said that, in choosing Joe Biden as Vice-President, Barack Obama did not pick a successor to lead the Democratic Party.  However, that needs rethinking.  Because Barack obama made her Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton remains remarkably well-positioned to run for President in 2016, even more so than she was in 2008.

The background visuals on the “Aztlan” video were taken in Los Angeles at the supposedly 500,000 person demonstration on March 25, 2006. But the speeches by Jose Angel Gutierrez, Fabian Nunez, Herman Baca, Armando Navarro, were made in 1995 at a MECHA conference at the University of California, Riverside after the passage of Proposition 187.

The remarks on the video by Antonio Villaraigosa, now the Mayor of Los Angeles, were made at a Southwest Voter’s Registration Project meeting in June of 1997. At that time Villaraigosa was the California State Assembly Majority Leader. All of the people whose pictures was superimposed on the visuals, attended the Los Angeles Demonstration in 2006.

Newspaper reports confirm that Villaraigosa and Fabian Nunez attended the March 2006 demonstration. On that occasion the mayor said, for example, “I welcome you the immigrants, who built this city. God bless you.”

Fabian Nunez, the California Assembly Speaker also made a speech.

LA Times reported that Fabien Núñez spent tens of thousands of dollars of campaign money for personal expenses such as $1800 for a meal at a Parisian restaurant & $5000 for wine from Bordeaux. Núñez played the race card when questioned about his use of campaign funds by saying, “Everyone’s done it like this” and “The difference is there are some in politics who want to judge me in a certain manner. Because of the fact I am Mexican, they think I have to sleep under a cactus and eat from taco stands.

Núñez’s son Esteban was charged with murder after stabbing a man in San Diego in October 2008 because he was refused entrance to a fraternity party.

There was also a Latino Forum on January 12, 2006 in San Bernadino, California where Herman Baca, Armando Navarro and others, including a member of Congress, Joe Baca and his son a California Assemblyman, Joe Baca Jr., made speeches.

These are the most racist and anti-American speeches imaginable delivered by individuals who are now a mayor, a members of Congress, and the state Assembly, the top leaders in the California state House, the head of the California Democratic Party, Art Torres, and full professor at the University of California.

The acronym MEChA stands for “Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlan.” or “Chicano Student Movement of Aztlan.”

MEChA is an Hispanic separatist organization that encourages anti-American activities and civil disobedience. The radical members of MEChA who refer to themselves as “Mechistas,” romanticize Mexican claims to the “lost Territories” of the Southwestern United States — a Chicano country called Aztlan. In its national constitution, MEChA calls for self-determination by its members to liberate Aztlan. MEChA’s national constitution starts out: “Chicano and Chicana students of Aztlán must take upon themselves the responsibilities to promote Chicanismo within the community, politicizing our Raza with an emphasis on indigenous consciousness to continue the struggle for the self-determination of the Chicano people for the purpose of liberating Aztlán.”

These anti-American “Mechistas” live with the false illusion that they are being racially discriminated against because they are Latinos while totally dismissing the idea that maybe it is their ideology that is being discriminated against.

At the MEChA National Conference on March 15 – 18, 2001, the official “MEChA Philosophy” was ratified. An excerpt from the document states: “as Mechistas, we vow to work for the liberation of Aztlan.”

The MEChA Clubs on each of the Santa Barbara High School campuses are not the only ones. MEChA groups exist on 90 percent of the public high school, college and university campuses in the Southwestern United States.

Mr. Gochez is a much respected teacher of Social Justice but apparently the English speaking invaders and occupiers of Aztlan did not appreciate the truth he had to say. Mr. Gochez, in his speech, essentially outlined the nature of the occupation of our land by the “frail White” settlers and goes on to say what will be the consequences of such continued occupation in terms of the Latin American/USA dichotomy. The racist and ignorant commentary in the Los Angeles area concerning the 2007 speech has been endless, especially on radio KFI 640 by two extremely bigoted buffoons named “Ken and John.” Ken and John, which most Mexicans suspect are two ‘maricones’ living together, recently held their radio show in Phoenix, Arizona and as honored guests they featured the vile anti-Mexican bigot Sheriff Joe Arpaio of “pink panties fame” and the Nazi author of SB 1070, which legalizes the profiling of Mexicans, Senator Russell Pearce. It is time for Los Angeles to dump these two racist clowns off the airwaves! Boycott their advertisers!

Ron Gochez, in the above video, makes some excellent points. One thing he did not mention; in addition to uniting with the rising political movements of our brothers in South America, is also to unite with the Islamic nations that are suffering from the same oppression meted out by the White colonialist and imperialist interests, such as Iran, Palestine and others. We must understand that as the US capitalist corrupt economy continues its downward spiral, the White bigots will blame us for it. They have a history of being extremely brutal and vicious and we must be prepared to defend ourselves. In addition, we must focus on changing the misguided policies of the Mexican government concerning the so-called war on drugs. President Calderon has caused the slaughter of tens of thousands of Mexicans for a pittance in gringo dollars. He is not being shrewd in how to handle the problem. Drug addiction is a USA problem and President Calderon should take advantage of it for the benefit of Mexico and Aztlan.

Globalizing the (Progressive) Resistance: U.S. Social Forum 2010

 

The Progressives plan a forum in Detroit in June 2010.

The U.S. Social Forum meets June 22-26, 2010, in Detroit, Michigan, where “Tens of thousands of progressive activists are expected to attend.”

Detroit was chosen as the site for the 2010 USSF because it is considered ground zero of the current capitalist economic crisis with record levels of foreclosures, evictions, utility shutoffs, unemployment and police terror. Detroit also has a long history of progressive and revolutionary struggle, which the organizations participating in the USSF are intent on building on to bring a better world into birth.

Globalizing the Resistance

What should be of great concern is the USSF goal to globalize resistance:

A global movement is rising. The USSF is our opportunity to prepare and meet it! The World Social Forum (WSF) has become an important symbol of global movement convergence and the development of alternatives to the dominant paradigm. Over the past nine years, the WSF has gathered the world’s workers, peasants, youth, women, and oppressed peoples to construct a counter-vision to the economic and political elites of the World Economic Forum held annually [since 2001] in Davos, Switzerland.

The 2010 World Social Forum (Forum Social Mundial) held January 25-29 at Porto Alegre, Brazil, called for social revolution (emphasis added):

We need another society, another economy, a new relation between humanity and the Earth and a more radical democracy. All over 2010, everywhere in the world, we will meet to strengthen our alternative responses to the global crises, to involve new actors, to mobilize new social energies, to challenge the existing power.

However, Chico Whitaker, one of the World Social Forum founders, told IPS reporter Mario Osava (emphasis added):

[It] is a mechanism, “an instrument to unite people. The Forum will not change the world; it is up to society to do that, through a multifaceted global justice movement,” added Whitaker, who rejects the label “movement of movements” for the WSF because it sounds too directive, like a political party. [...] Thinking in the United States has changed since the advent [in June 2000] of the WSF, and this will be reflected in the second national Forum, to be held in July in Detroit, a symbol of the country’s way of life. And the WSF has also accelerated development of a “solidarity economy,” Whitaker said.Changing the world is the WSF’s goal, without dictating “perfectly finished models, or a single strategy” as a fait accompli, while demanding changes “at all levels, including personal change,” he said.

Socialist Speak

Note the use throughout of “Socialist Speak”. For example, progressive = socialist.

It is the U.S. Social Forum, a gathering of members of numerous international socialist groups, including a number of “unions, coalitions, federations and workers’ centers.”

The USSF 2010 website employs “movement.” The Forum is to serve as a “movement-building” event.

It is not a conference but it is a space to come up with the peoples’ solutions to the economic and ecological crisis. The USSF is [an] important step in our struggle to build a powerful multi-racial, multi-sectoral, inter-generational, diverse, inclusive, internationalist movement that transforms this country and changes history.

The Forum will “come up with the peoples’ solutions”: peoples denotes socialism. (For a clear explanation, comparing socialism to capitalism, see James Ostrowski’s June 2003 Why Socialism Is the People’s Choice.)

Large Presence: Unions and Youth

Unions will play a prominent role at the Forum. There will be about “70 labor-themed workshops” and labor will have a “large presence at the opening march on June 22.”

Another group to have a “large presence” at the Forum will be the youth-oriented, “revolutionary, socialist-oriented Fight Imperialism, Stand Together or FIST.” (See RBO’s January 2010 article, Cultural Marxism: FIST (Fight Imperialism Stand Together).)

FIST will be co-hosting a workshop along with the International Concerned Family and Friends of Mumia Abu-Jamal on building a new youth organization in defense of Mumia. An entire decade of youth has grown up without mass consciousness about the implications of Mumia’s case, and we are organizing to counteract that and expose the roots of racism, the role of the police, police brutality and repression of groups fighting for national liberation,” Dante Strobino, a FIST leader from North Carolina, told Workers World.

Probe Sought into Alleged Misuse of U.S. Funds by Obama Administration’s Push for New Pro-Abortion Constitution in Kenya

 

Washington, May 10 -

A federal probe into whether the Obama Administration broke federal laws by promoting a proposed constitution that radically changes abortion policy in Kenya was requested by three high ranking lawmakers with congressional oversight responsibilities.

            In a letter to Inspectors General (IG) of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), and the Government Accountability Office (GAO), Reps. Chris Smith (NJ-04), Darrell Issa (CA-49) and Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (FL-18) said: “Kenya’s new proposed constitution, which will be subject to a public referendum in August 2010, includes two articles that, if adopted, would enshrine a new constitutional right to abortion in Kenya and dramatically change Kenya’s abortion law.”

            The lawmakers wrote, “The Obama Administration’s advocacy in support of Kenya’s proposed constitution may constitute a serious violation of the Siljander Amendment and, as such, may be subject to civil and criminal penalties under the Antideficiency Act.

            “Kenya’s current constitution includes no reference to abortion and abortion is not legally permitted in Kenya except to save the life of the mother.” 

            They said, “any expression of support for or opposition to the proposed new constitution (including by drafting, offering technical advice or providing foreign assistance of any kind that is designed to influence public approval in the upcoming plebiscite) unavoidably involves lobbying for or against abortion.  This concern is particularly salient given the prominence of the abortion issue in the public debate over the referendum.   In fact, the chairman of Kenya’s Committee of Experts on Constitutional Review (the “Committee of Experts”) has identified abortion as one of the four most contentious issues in the proposed constitution.”

            Smith also pointed out, “the State Department has pledged to spend $2 million to build support for the proposed constitution. Abortion is violence against children and exploits women.”

            Lobbying for or against abortion is prohibited under a provision of federal law known as the Siljander Amendment annually included in the State, Foreign Operations Appropriations Act. 

The amendment reads, “None of the funds made available under this Act may be used to lobby for or against abortion,” and violations are subject to civil and criminal penalties under the Antideficiency Act, 31 U.S.C. § 1341. 

            Smith, the leading Republican on the House Africa and Global Health Subcommittee, was joined by Ros-Lehtinen, the Ranking Republican on the House Foreign Affairs Committee and Issa, the top Republican on the House Oversight Committee. All three Members of Congress have broad legal oversight jurisdiction concerning Federal international funds.

With his actions as an Illinois state senator, U.S. senator, and now president, Barack Obama has rightfully earned his title as the most pro-abortion politician in American history, but a congressional report asserts that his advocacy for a new abortion policy in his “home country of Kenya“  (according to Michelle Obama)  may have broken the law.

Under the Siljander Amendment, no funds for foreign assistance may be used to lobby for or against abortion, and Smith has discovered that the Obama Administration has spent over $10 million to promote the new Kenyan constitution. When Iranians took to the streets to oppose the fraudulent re-election of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, it was Obama who didn’t want to be seen as “meddling”, but apparently that non-meddling policy doesn’t apply to Kenya.

Granted, one of Obama’s first decisions following his inauguration as the nation’s 44^th president was a repeal of the “Mexico City policy” - which prohibited the use of U.S. taxpayer money to fund international pro-abortion groups – but, one has to question why he’s so interested in changing abortion policy specifically in Kenya.

At a March 1925 international birth control gathering in New York City, a speaker warned of the menace posed by the “black” and “yellow” peril. The man was not a Nazi or Klansman; he was Dr. S. Adolphus Knopf, a member of Margaret Sanger’s American Birth Control League (ABCL), which along with other groups eventually became known as Planned Parenthood.

Not to be outdone by her followers, Margaret Sanger spoke of sterilizing those she designated as “unfit,” a plan she said would be the “salvation of American civilization.: And she also spike of those who were “irresponsible and reckless,” among whom she included those ” whose religious scruples prevent their exercising control over their numbers.” She further contended that “there is no doubt in the minds of all thinking people that the procreation of this group should be stopped.” That many Americans of African origin constituted a segment of Sanger considered “unfit” cannot be easily refuted.

From the beginning, Sanger advocacy of sex education reflected her interest in population control and birth prevention among the “unfit.” Her first handbook, published for adolescents in 1915 and entitled, What Every Boy and Girl Should Know, featured a jarring afterword:

It is a vicious cycle; ignorance breeds poverty and poverty breeds ignorance. There is only one cure for both, and that is to stoop breeding these things. Stop bringing to birth children whose inheritance cannot be one of health or intelligence. Stop bringing into the world children whose parents cannot provide for them.

WHERE are most U.S. abortion clinics located?

Is the abortion law, being advocated by Obama  in Kenya for Christians AND Muslims?

 

Some Muslims argue that abortion is permissible if the foetus is younger than four months (120 days). They quote a statement from the Prophet (s) that refers to a human being starting as a fertilised ovum in the uterus of the mother for forty days, then it grows into a clot for the same period, then into a morsel of flesh for the same period, then an angel is sent to that foetus to blow the Ruh into it and to write down its age, deeds, sustenance, and whether it is destined to be happy or sad. Assuming the hadith to be authentic, scholars explain that the error comes from understanding that before the Ruh is blown into the foetus at 120 days, the foetus is not a living entity, and therefore aborting it does not amount to killing it. This understanding is wrong, scholars argue, because the foetus is a living entity right from the moment of fertilisation and implantation on the wall of the uterus. Scholars explain that the Ruh mentioned in this hadith of the Prophet (s) is something other than being alive and only Allah (swt) knows what it is, based on the verse in the Quran: “And they ask you about the Ruh. The Ruh is one of the things the knowledge of which is only with my Lord, and you, mankind, have been given only little knowledge.” (Al-Isra,17:85)It therefore becomes clear that aborting a foetus before 120 days is still killing a living entity, let alone abortion after that presumed period.

The only case when aborting a foetus, before or after 120 days, is allowed in Islam, is when a medical situation threatens the life of the mother, leaving only two options, to let either the other or the foetus survive, but not both. Scholars argue that such a case can only be determined by a specialist, trusted and committed Muslim doctor. They argue that the mother can have other children, whereas the child cannot make up for losing the mother. A fatwa (legal ruling) to that effect was issued by the late Dr Mahmoud Shaltut, Shaikhul Azhar (Al-Fatawa, p164).Imam Al-Ghazali discussed this issue in his famous book, Ihya Ulumuddin. Briefly, he asserted that once the semen from a man fertilised an ovum from a woman, and went into the womb of the mother, it was indeed a living entity and should not be intentionally aborted. As the foetus progressively develops in the womb, intentional abortion becomes an even worse sin amounting to killing a living entity. In some schools of Islamic thought, causing a foetus to be accidentally aborted, say by beating a pregnant mother, results in payment of the blood money penalty equal to one-tenth of that paid for mistakenly killing a mature human being.
