BECK’S INTERVIEW WITH BEN SHAPIRO: HOLLYWOOD LIBS ADMIT THEY‘RE ’A PROPAGANDA TOOL’
June 2, 2011
By Billy Hallowell
Today, Glenn Beck had author Ben Shapiro on his radio show to discuss his new book “Primetime Propaganda: The True Hollywood Story of How the Left Took Over Your TV.” We‘ve already covered some of the early revelations from Shapiro’s research here and here, which includes a founding “Sesame Street” executive admitting liberal propaganda was woven into some episodes.
During Shaprio’s interview with Beck, Shapiro chatted about his astounding interviews with left-leaning celebrities who unabashedly admitted their political biases.
Shapiro told Beck, ”They know the power of the medium that they’re using.”

Barbra Streisand interview demonstrates liberal self delusion
December 16, 2010
By Dr. Michael Williams
In an interview with Larry King Wednesday night, Barbra Streisand played the perfect limousine liberal, demonstrating how out of touch they are with middle America and how well versed they are in liberal talking points. Most of the interview was about her book, her collections, and her house, but toward the end it turned to politics. In fact, she laid it on so thick about President Obama that it left one wondering if she was going to have a candle lighting ceremony at an Obama shrine in her closet after the interview.
When asked by King what she thought was a great accomplishment of President Obama, without a beat, she gushed, then explained that he put the first Latino on the Supreme Court and added that she is a woman too. She then went on to tell King she had a list of 32 items she wrote down that were great accomplishments, but did not have it with her.
If elevating a Latino woman, AKA Latina, to the Supreme Court was the first thing that comes to mind, it demonstrates that Supreme Court nominations in the eyes of liberals are more about race and sex than putting someone on the court who is the most qualified. It is interesting that if a conservative says anything in an interview that suggests that they are making any statement about someone’s race; their words are parsed and rehashed to make them into a racist comment. However, if a liberal makes a direct comment referring to a qualification for an important position being about their race and sex, it is nothing more than being inclusive.
In another astounding statement, Streisand, referring to the recent election, hit the nail on the head about how politicians bribe the American people with their own money from the treasury. She said she “could not understand how people voted against their own self interests” by voting for Republicans.
This is a very telling statement! Does she not understand how some people do not think it is right to take money printed out of thin air from the treasury to bribe people into selling their votes? Does she not think that people have enough integrity to say about spending, “Enough is enough?” The only way that someone could not understand how people would vote that way is if they do not know how the rest of us live.
Streisand added that “most people are not wealthy, just the top two percent.” Taking her at her word, according to the IRS, if you look at the top two percent of wage earners in 2008, they made over $253,197 a year. In fact, the top ten percent made over $113,799 a year. Maybe where Barbara Streisand lives if you make less than $253,197 a year you are poor, but most of us would feel rich if we made $53,197 a year.
Finally, Streisand played the “we care for the little people card” (except if he is in the womb of course, then he’s on his own). She said, “Republicans are for the corporations…Democrats are for the working people.” If one considers that creating a socialist nanny state that creates the illusion that it cares for the working people, while enslaving them to government economic and social control, then we should stop celebrating the birth of Jesus and start celebrating the birth of Karl Marx.

IS SESAME STREET SPREADING LEFT-WING PROPAGANDA? EXEC ADMITS, YES
May 31, 2011
By Jonathon M. Seidl
While the theme song to the kids show Sesame Street encourages people to ask how to get there, one author just finished an expose exploring what’s really in the popular show: left-wing propaganda.
Sesame Street, with its loveable and fuzzy characters, is really a mouthpiece for the left’s agenda. That’s the conclusion of author Ben Shapiro, who after interviewing hundreds of industry insiders found that many of Hollywood’s most popular shows, including the popular kids program, are inundated with secret political messages. And he got top executives to admit it.
Shapiro’s new book, “Primetime Propaganda: The True Hollywood Story of How the Left Took Over Your TV,” according to it’s description “is the story—told in their own words—of how television has been used over the past sixty years by Hollywood writers, producers, actors, and executives to promote their liberal ideals, to push the envelope on social and political issues, and to shape America in their own leftist image.”
For example, Shapiro quotes Mike Dann, one of Sesame Street’s founding executives, saying it “was not made for the sophisticated or the middle class.” Using the premise, the team worked in all sorts of messages, including Grover breaking bread with a hippie and Oscar the grouch who was supposed to address “conflicts arising from racial and ethnic diversity.” Dann also admitted he used the program in the wake of 9/11 to highlight peaceful alternatives to war.
“Sesame Street tried to tackle divorce, tackled ‘peaceful conflict resolution’ in the aftermath of 9/11 and had [gay actor] Neil Patrick Harris on the show playing the subtly-named ‘fairy shoeperson’,” writes Shapiro, according to THR.
The news may not be surprising considering the left‘s recent use of the show’s cuddly character, Elmo. The furry, red puppet has been used to trumpet free internet, lament job loss, and even plug Michelle Obama’s child nutrition bill.

Power, Politics, Gossip On Daily Call (Rahm Emanuel, Carville, Stephanopoulos & Begala)

Power, Politics, Gossip On Daily Call
D.C.’s Prevailing Take On Politics Often Hatched On Conference Call Including Carville, Emanuel, Stephanopoulos And Begala
(The Politico) The conversations don’t begin with hello. They don’t end with goodbye. Most often they pick up with a low, drawling voice uttering something between a sentence and a grunt.
“Wahzgoanawn?”
For those not accustomed to hearing James Carville when he is trying to enunciate more clearly for television, that translates to: “What’s going on?”
So begins another morning in what may count as Washington’s longest-running conversation – a street-corner bull session between four old friends who suddenly find themselves standing once more at the busiest intersection of politics and media in Washington.
Carville calls White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel.
Emanuel calls ABC News Chief Washington Correspondent George Stephanopoulos.
A bit later, CNN commentator Paul Begala, who is not quite the early bird that his friends are, will complete the circle with a rapid set of calls to all three.
Different versions of this round-robin chatter have been taking place, with few interruptions, every workday for nearly a generation.
“I refer to it as the 17-year-long conference call,” said Emanuel, who starts calling his friends at 6 a.m. “You can tap into it anytime you want.”
Everyone likes to deride the “conventional wisdom.” In fairness, though, the wisdom is not yet conventional at the moment it is hatched.
And in any given news cycle, it is quite likely that Washington’s prevailing political and media interpretation – at least on the Democratic side – is being hatched on these calls.
