From Politico:
Super PAC ‘Super-O-Rama’ for President Obama
By Kenneth P. Vogel
[...]
Jon Carson, a White House official who was a top organizer for Obama’s 2008 campaign, did attend last week’s meeting of the Democracy Alliance, a secretive club of big Democratic donors that has been trying to raise money for super PACs.
Carson was scheduled to deliver remarks to Democracy Alliance members, according to a source with knowledge of the meeting. The White House didn’t respond to questions about the subject of Carson’s remarks or whether he helped raise money for the super PACs, but the source said Carson did not attend a Saturday morning session at which Democracy Alliance officials and members made pitches for the super PACs.
At that session, which was presided over by Democracy Alliance co-founder Rob Stein, members were given a presentation on the roles and fundraising of various Democratic super PACs and other outside groups. Hedge fund financier Donald Sussman, who is married to Rep. Chellie Pingree (D-Maine) — was slated to make the case for donations to House Majority PAC, to which he has contributed at least $150,000.
There was “general consensus” among attendees that it was important to donate to House Majority PAC and the other super PACs that air election ads, said someone who attended the meeting, which was closed to the press and considered confidential. But the attendee said some Democracy Alliance members expressed misgivings about donating to Priorities because many big donors close to Obama, including his campaign co-chairwoman Penny Pritzker, had yet to show up on the super PAC’s public donor rolls.
Top Democratic operatives and officials were dismayed when billionaire financier George Soros, a founding Democracy Alliance member, announced last week that he planned to steer his money only to organizing and messaging groups and not to advertising super PACs.
Ahead of the Alliance meeting, Soros, who has already donated a combined $175,000 to Majority PAC and House Majority PAC, pledged $1 million each to American Bridge 21st Century, a super PAC that provides opposition research, and America Votes, a nonprofit group focusing on state-based organizing. Though America Votes does not disclose its donors, Soros has donated to it in each of the past three years.
At the Saturday session, Stein thanked Soros for his contribution to American Bridge, whose founder David Brock, a Democracy Alliance favorite, attended the Miami conference.

To those at Politico: Did you realize you made contradicting statements?
1, Top Democratic operatives and officials were dismayed when billionaire financier George Soros, a founding Democracy Alliance member, announced last week that he planned to steer his money only to organizing and messaging groups and not to advertising super PACs.
2. Ahead of the Alliance meeting, Soros, who has already donated a combined $175,000 to Majority PAC and House Majority PAC, pledged $1 million each to American Bridge 21st Century, a super PAC that provides opposition research…..
Did anyone at Politico think to ask Soros about this?

M.Quinn Delaney:
**Married to Wayne D. Jordan** a fundraiser for Obama 2o12
Both Quinn and her husband Wayne Jordan are officers at the Akonadi Foundation
Since 2000, the Akonadi Foundation has been working to support and nurture a racial justice movement that can finally put an end to the structural racism that lies at the heart of social inequity in the United States.
The Akonadi Foundation uses the concept of “structural racism” because it means:
• Recognizing how history and culture have allowed the privileges associated with “whiteness” and the disadvantages associated with ”color” to endure, adapt and accumulate over time;
• Understanding how public policies and institutional practices intersect and produce inequitable racial outcomes; and
• Examining how the assumptions and stereotypes embedded in U.S. dominant culture serve to legitimize and popularize racial disparities.
Though manifestations of racism like Jim Crow segregation, Indian removal and Japanese internment appear to have been eradicated, racism remains an integral part of American society. It is woven into the very fabric of our culture, our language, our government, our economy. And to truly dismantle this structural racism, we need a powerful social change movement that holds racial justice as a primary, fundamental goal. Only then will we be able to create a racially just society.
Akonadi’s mission is to help build this robust and powerful movement. We do this in three ways:
• By providing grants to racial justice organizations,
• By communicating about our work and the work of our grant partners, and
• By nurturing support for racial justice movement building in philanthropy.

The Democracy Alliance’s Partner-Donors
By Discover The Networks
January 2011
The Democracy Alliance (DA) is known to consist of at least 100 members, known as “partners,” but historically has been quite secretive regarding their identities. Nevertheless, the Capital Research Center has managed to compile the names of some of the more significant current and former DA partners (in addition to George Soros and DA founder Rob Stein).1 A large percentage of these partners have significant ties to Soros that extend well beyond their shared membership in the Democracy Alliance. Among these partners are the following:
- AFL-CIO: This institutional DA partner is the largest labor federation in America and was a member of Soros’s Shadow Party in 2004.
- Bauman Foundation co-director Patricia Bauman serves as a board member of the Soros-funded Natural Resources Defense Council.
- Property-development CEO Albert Dwoskin is the chairman of Catalist, a Soros-funded political consultancy.1
- Manhattan-based child psychologist Gail Furman belongs to the Council on Foreign Relations and is a board member of Human Rights First and the Brennan Center for Justice―all organizations that receive funding from George Soros and OSI.2
- Software entrepreneur Tim Gill is a major funder of gay-rights groups such as the Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Education Network, which is also supported by Soros.3
- Technology entrepreneur Davidi Gilo has given at least $17,600 to J Street, an organization that is consistently critical of Israel and has close ties to Soros.4
- Media-software mogul Rob Glaser was an early backer of the Soros-funded America Coming Together.5
- “Racial justice organizer” Connie Cagampang Heller works closely with the Soros-funded Tides Foundation.6
- Hyatt Hotel luminary Rachel Pritzker Hunter has served as treasurer of the Soros-funded Media Matters For America.7
- Michael Kieschnick founded Working Assets, a long-distance telephone/credit card company that donates a percentage of its profits to leftist groups and causes.9 He is also a board member of the Soros-funded evangelical group Sojourners.10
- Longtime technology executive John Luongo is a former board member of Planned Parenthood and Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington―both Soros-funded enterprises.11
- Atlantic Philanthropies president and CEO Gara LaMarche was formerly vice president of Soros’s Open Society Institute. He also served a stint as associate director of Human Rights Watch and held a variety of positions with the ACLU―both organizations that are heavily funded by Soros.12
- Television producer Norman Lear created the Soros-backed group, People for the American Way.
- Progressive Insurance Company chairman Peter Lewis has many close ties to Soros and was a major funder of the Shadow Party during the 2004 election cycle.13
- Taco Bell heir Robert McKay has been a founding board member ofAmerica Coming Together, a board member of the Ms. Foundation for Women, and a director of the Fund for America14―all of which are beneficiaries of Soros money.
- Tides Foundation founder and longtime CEO Drummond Pike has close ties to Soros, who is a major funder of Tides.
- Democrat activist Simon Rosenberg founded the New Policy Institute, a project of the Tides Foundation. He also sits on the board of the Soros-funded publication Democracy: A Journal of Ideas. And in 1996 he created the New Democrat Network, a Soros-financed organization committed to pushing the Democratic Party further leftward.15
- Golden West Financial Corporation founders Herb and Marion Sandler are philanthropic allies of George Soros and were heavy funders of Shadow Party organizations in 2004―giving some $13 million to anti-Bush “527 committees.”16
- Trial lawyer Guy Saperstein formerly served as president of the Soros-funded Sierra Club.17
- Service Employees International Union: The longtime former president of this union, Andrew Stern, sat on the executive committee of the Soros-funded America Coming Together.18
- George Soros’s son Jonathan is president and co-deputy chairman of Soros Fund Management.
- DA board member Michael Vachon is the director of communications at Soros Fund Management and the overseer of Soros’s political contributions.

Democracy Alliance
[...]
“Like a lot of elite groups, we fly beneath the radar,” said Guy Saperstein, an Oakland lawyer and alliance donor. But “we are not so stupid though,” he said, to think “we can deny our existence.”
Democracy Alliance works essentially as a cooperative for donors, allowing them to coordinate their giving so that it has more influence.
To become a “partner,” as the members are referred to internally, requires a $25,000 entry fee and annual dues of $30,000 to cover alliance operations as well as some of its contributions to start-up liberal groups. Beyond this, partners also agree to spend at least $200,000 annually on organizations that have been endorsed by the alliance. Essentially, the alliance serves as an accreditation agency for political advocacy groups.
This accreditation process is the root of Democracy Alliance’s influence. If a group does not receive the alliance’s blessing, dozens of the nation’s wealthiest political contributors as a practical matter become off-limits for fundraising purposes.
Many of these contributors give away far more than the $200,000 requirement. Soros, Gill and insurance magnate Peter Lewis are among the biggest contributors, but 45 percent of the 95 partners gave $300,000 or better in the initial round of grants last October, according to a source familiar with the organization.
Democracy Alliance organizers say they are trying to bring principles of accountability and capital investment that are common in business to the world of political advocacy, where they believe such principles have often been missing.

Reiterated from above Politico article:
Ahead of the Alliance meeting, Soros, who has already donated a combined $175,000 to Majority PAC and House Majority PAC, pledged $1 million each to American Bridge 21st Century, a super PAC that provides opposition research, and America Votes, a nonprofit group focusing on state-based organizing. Though America Votes does not disclose its donors, Soros has donated to it in each of the past three years.
American Bridge 21st Century:
From Muckety:
By Laurie Bennett
Call it “political archaeology.”
When wealthy donors want to help dig dirt about the right, they often turn to American Bridge 21st Century.
Roll Call describes the super PAC as “the opposition research hub of the Democratic fundraising apparatus.”
The committee was founded by David Brock, a reformed conservative who started Media Matters, a group that monitors Fox and other conservative media.
The PAC, in turn, follows Republican and conservative politicians. When Sen. Scott Brown attacked Senate hopeful Elizabeth Warren on earmarks, the PAC published his own promise to “continue to bring home the pork.”
American Bridge videographers track GOP candidates around the country, hoping to capture any “macaca” moments.
The PAC reported raising $3.7 million and spending $2.9 million last year.
The above Muckety map shows some of the most generous, most connected contributors. (We recommend looking at the larger version, where you have more room to expand and move relationships.)
Major donors include two bundlers for the 2012 Obama campaign – Wayne Jordan (see above reference to Akonadi Foundation) and Paul Egerman.
Unions such as the AFL-CIO, AFSCME and SEIU have also supported the PAC’s efforts. Other contributors come from the entertainment, tech and financial sectors.
Several heirs are also on the list, including Agnes Gund, former president of the Museum of Modern Art, Anne Earhart of the Getty family and Robert McKay of the Taco Bell fortune.

Are major donors bailing from American Bridge 21st Century since David Brock of Media Matters was highlighted in American Politics so as to claim deniability?
David Brock is Founder of Media Matters AND American Bridge 21st Century (**Also listed as Treasurer**). Ties to the White House?

Did YOU know that the email address listed on the FEC form for American Bridge 21st Century is the Law Group at Perkins Coie?
Perkins Coie is the law firm that has been paid millions to secrete information pertaining to those trying to vet Obama? Robert Bauer, the general counsel to the White House, married to Mao admirer Anita Dunn (connected to Sandra Fluke incident) has left the White House to return to Perkins Coie?

Doing the Job the Failed MSM’s Won’t Do: WHO Really IS Obama?
Obama’s records including school, his Social Security number, etc. have been secreted and protected by Perkins Coie (Law group with which one of its lawyers, Robert Bauer(married to Maoist admirer Anita Dunn) is one of Obama’s chief legal advisors at the White House.
Bauer has done his best to prevent the American public from seeing a wide range of Obama’s records that could prove, or disprove, his eligibility to occupy the Oval Office under the Constitution’s requirement that the president be a “natural born” citizen.
Documents concerning Obama that the White House has refused to release to the public include his long-form birth certificate and his passport records, as well as other records that may possibly be relevant, such as records regarding Obama’s possible adoption by his Indonesian stepfather or college application and tuition financial aid records which would reveal whether Obama was ever registered as a foreign student.
Federal Election Commission records show $1,352,378.95 in payments were made by Obama for America to Perkins Coie while the law firm was representing Obama in various court cases which have sought to obtain Obama’s long-form birth certificate to determine if he is a “natural born” citizen under Article Two, Section 1 of the Constitution.
Bauer, a Democratic Party partisan, has a long history of defending Democratic Party presidential hopefuls.
A biography for Bauer posted on the Perkins Coie website indicates he was general counsel to the Democratic National Committee during the presidential campaign of Sen. John Kerry and that he served as counsel to Sen. Tom Daschle, the Democratic leader in the impeachment trial proceedings of President Bill Clinton.
During the 2008 presidential campaign, Bauer functioned as an “attack lawyer,” threatening with FEC complaints groups wanting to run anti-Obama television ads.
Also during the 2008 presidential campaign, Bauer as counsel for the Obama campaign wrote letters to television station managers and to Department of Justice Assistant Attorney General John Keeney arguing that airing an anti-Obama ad pointing to the known association between Obama and Weather Underground radical Bill Ayers would violate federal election rules.
Also during the 2008 campaign, Bauer intervened on behalf of Obama to block the California-based American Leadership Project from running a television ad campaign over support from unions, including the Service Employees International Union.
Again, Bauer filed a complaint with the FEC alleging that the union-funded television campaign the American Leadership Project planned to run in Indiana against Obama was illegal under federal election laws.
