Muslim Brotherhood Meets in the White House

A year after the Egyptian uprising, Hosni Mubarak’s fall and the Muslim Brotherhood’s rise in the country, the White House held talks with the radical Islamist group this week. This is the same Muslim Brotherhood that has called for the “review”of the Egyptian peace treaty with Israel and the same Muslim Brotherhood pushing Shariah law in their position of new leadership in Egypt.
White House officials held talks with representatives of the Muslim Brotherhood in Washington this week, as the Islamist group threw itself into the fray in Egypt’s presidential election.
The meeting on Tuesday with low-level National Security Council staff was part of a series of US efforts to broaden engagement with new and emerging political parties following Egypt’s revolution last year, a US official said.
“We believe that it is in the interest of the United States to engage with all parties that are committed to democratic principles, especially nonviolence,” said National Security Council spokesman Tommy Vietor.
Nonviolence?
One might wonder how an organization can be thought to have renounced violence when it has inspired more jihadists than any other, and when its Palestinian branch, the Islamic Resistance Movement, is probably more familiar to you by the name Hamas — a terrorist organization committed by charter to the violent destruction of Israel. Indeed, in recent years, the Brotherhood (a.k.a., the Ikhwan) has enthusiastically praised jihad and even applauded — albeit in more muted tones — Osama bin Laden.
No surprise, the usual Republican suspects have also been in talks:
The White House pointed out that Republican Senators Lindsey Graham and John McCain, and other US lawmakers and officials had also met with Brotherhood representatives in Egypt and elsewhere in recent months.

When a number of Pharaoh’s Muslim Brotherhood magicians sneaked in to woo the White House recently, CNN featured them and assured all Americans the visitors came bearing great tidings of joy.
Two members of the delegation were confronted by one doubting Thomas, Will Cain from the Blaze, who charged:
“You say things to us in English… but many charge that when you go back to Egypt and you speak in Arabic, you say just the opposite.” [Emphasis added]
Abdul Mawgoud Dardery of the Muslim Brotherhood, a 9/11 Truther with an alleged penchant for young children, simply rebuked Cain’s charge as a “conspiracy” theory. His colleague, a female member of the Brotherhood, with her head wrapped in Islamic fashion, chimed in with statements that were peppered with words of “democracy” and “respect to all peace treaties.”
Asem was carefully weaned on to the ways of the Ikhwan (Brotherhood), beginning at a young age by both of her parents, who are prominent leaders within the Muslim Brotherhood; her mother – Manal Abul Hassan – is one of the Brotherhood’s most powerful women.
Nicholas Kristof, a New York Times liberal, visited Sondos in her home, only to be wooed by her before writing his article. He then cautioned readers against alarm over the Ikhwan saying, “let’s not overdo the hand-wringing—or lose perspective.” Kristof also quoted Asem as saying, “It’s a big misconception that the Muslim Brotherhood marginalizes women. Fifty percent of the Brotherhood are women.”
If they started now, it would probably take the White House, western media, and the public in general a decade or more to catch up and realize how ill-equipped they are to deal with this [doubletalk].
Indeed, when it comes to the role of women in the “Muslim Brotherhood,” most westerners are clueless about how active one of its major arms – the “Muslim Sisterhood” – is. The Sisterhood is an elite unit, not some small group made up of innocent women who don benign-looking hijabs, as portrayed by Der Spiegel.
The Sisterhood has little to do with the explosive act and firmly believes that the “Pen” is mightier than the “Sword.” It is an extremely active group, consisting of highly educated media icons who speak multiple languages while traveling the globe and wielding influence over several international organizations, from the United Nations to women’s advocacy groups.

ALLEN WEST: MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD & OTHER EXTREMIST GROUPS ARE INFLUENCING U.S. STRATEGY

Rep. Allen West (R-Fla.) is never afraid to take a stand on the issues he holds dear, which is why the conservative politician is taking aim at the FBI for removing nearly 900 pages of allegedly-offensive training materials. According to West, this action, which was taken after Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) complained about some of the materials’ contents, is a form of “cultural suicide.”
Durbin, who wrote a letter to FBI director Robert Mueller about the situation, complained that the controversial documentation could lead Muslims and others to be targeted based on their religion. “There is a real risk that agents will be operating on false assumptions about Arab-Americans and American Muslims,” Durbin maintained.
West, though, said that the removal is evidence that extremist Muslim groups are holding sway over U.S. strategy. He discussed the issue of “tolerance” and its relation to the situation in an interview with Fox News’ “Fox & Friends” on Monday morning.
“We have to understand that when tolerance becomes a one-way street it leads to cultural suicide,” he said. “We should not allow the Muslim Brotherhood or associated groups to be influencing our national strategy.”
West’s main concern is that the U.S. seems to be watering down its definition of who America’s enemies are. In an attempt to decrease how intensely officials offend extremists, the politician claims that leaders are potentially endangering the nation.
“If we continue to be recalcitrant in identifying who the enemy is and want to be less offensive to them, then we’re going to put ourselves in a bad situation,” West proclaimed. “Now you have an environment of political correctness which precludes these agents from doing their proper job and due diligence to go after the perceived threat.”

Hizb-ut-Tahrir (Arabic for “The Party of Liberation”) has its roots in the political party al-Hay’at al-Tahrir al-Islami(“The Islamic Society of Liberation”), which in 1951 was established in Jordanian-controlled East Jerusalem by Sheikh Taqi-ud-deen Al-Nabahani (an associate and contemporary of the pro-Nazi Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, Sheikh Haji Amin Al-Housseini).
Hizb-ut-Tahrir defines itself as “a political group and not a priestly one,” a “political party whose ideology is Islam, so politics is its work and Islam is its ideology.” It “works within the Ummah [community of believers] … so that she adopts Islam as her cause and is led to restore the Khilafah [Caliphate, or Islamic kingdom] and the ruling by what Allah revealed.”
Rejecting Western notions of both democracy and capitalism as tools that allegedly have led to the colonization and subjugation of Islamic nations, Hizb-ut-Tahrir’s long-term objective is to replace existing governments with theocratic Muslim rule and to bring about a worldwide Islamic government under a single ruler (caliph). In such an ideal Islamic state, says Hizb-ut-Tahrir, “all of life’s affairs in society are administered according to the Shari’ah rules,” or strict Islamic law.
Hizb-ut-Tahrir states that it accepts “Muslim men and women as its members regardless of whether they are Arab or non-Arab, white or coloured, since it is a party for all Muslims.”
In its self-description, Hizb-ut-Tahrir declares: “Its work is not educational, as it is not a school, nor is its work concerned with giving sermons and preaching. Rather its work is political, in which the thoughts and laws of Islam are presented in order to act upon them and to carry them so as to establish them in life’s affairs and in the State.” Moreover, the organization professes a devotion to ”the struggle against the disbelieving imperialists, to deliver the Ummah from their domination and to liberate her from their influence by uprooting their intellectual, cultural, political, economic and military roots from all of the Muslim countries.”
Hizb-ut-Tahrir asserts that while it “does not use material power to defend itself or as a weapon against the rulers,” nevertheless “jihad has to continue till the Day of Judgement.” “So whenever the disbelieving enemies attack an Islamic country,” says Hizb, “it becomes compulsory on its Muslim citizens to repel the enemy. The members of Hizb-ut-Tahrir in that country are a part of the Muslims and it is obligatory upon them … to fight the enemy and repel them.”
Former Hizb-ut-Tahrir member Ed Husain, who left the organization and denounced it in his 2007 book The Islamist, says: “The only difference between Islamists from Hizb ut-Tahrir and jihadists, is that the former are waiting for their state and caliph before they commence jihad, while the latter believes the time for jihad is now.”
According to Heritage Foundation researcher Ariel Cohen, Hizb-ut-Tahrir is a “totalitarian organization, akin to a disciplined Marxist-Leninist party, in which internal dissent is neither encouraged nor tolerated.” Candidates for membership undergo two years of indoctrination, becoming full members only after they ”mel[t] with the Party.” Members belong to compartmentalized cells and know the identities of only the others in that cell. “When a critical mass of cells is achieved,” writes Cohen, “according to its doctrine, Hizb may move to take over a country in preparation for the establishment of the Caliphate.” Hizb-ut-Tahrir reportedly has cells in 40 or more nations.
Today Hizb-ut-Tahrir, although splintered into four factions (most notably Hizb Waed), reportedly has tens of thousands of secret members across the Muslim world, attracted by its triumphalist Islamic future.
Hizb-ut-Tahrir is outlawed in Russia, Germany, France, the Netherlands, and numerous Muslim countries (including Egypt, Pakisan, and Saudi Arabia) that regard it as a radical, subversive, terrorist organization that spreads “hate and violence” and seeks to overthrow their governments.

Politico has a pdf of a paper written by Obama’s father entitled “ Problems facing our Socialism “. Obama Sr’s piece is dated July, 1965 and was published in the East Africa Journal. He goes on about some of the finer points of scientific socialism,interalia, and communism. He also seeks to define the differences between African socialism and Kenyan socialism. Here’s a sample.
The African tradition is fundamentally based on communal ownership of major means of production and sharing of fruits of labors, so expended in production, to the benefit of all, and yet the paper advocates land title deeds and private ownership of land-a major means of production.

In the interest of such sharing, no doubt, Obama made sure that Muslim Brotherhood members attended this speech. Yet the Brotherhood is dedicated, in its own words, to “eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and ‘sabotaging’ its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God’s religion is made victorious over all other religions.” Doesn’t that count as an attempt to elevate “one nation or group of people over another”?
