Obama has appointed 21 “Czars.”
These Czars are “Political Officers.” In the old Soviet Union, they were called Commissars.
The Executive Branch of government is organized hierarchically, top-down, by Departments (Treasury, Defense, etc.). Each department functions under the direction of an executive, referred to as a “Secretary,” who is confirmed by the Senate.
The appointments of these “Czars” changes the fundamental structure of the Executive Branch into a “matrix” structure. The czars have political power across all of the departments within the Executive Branch.
They speak for Obama and their function is to ensure compliance with Obama’s policies within the Executive Branch.
The American People don’t know who most of these Czars are. They’ve had no background checks. There is no Congressional oversight over the Czars, unlike a Cabinet position. They are appointed by Obama and are extraordinarily powerful, simply because they take their direction from and report directly to Obama.
We don’t know how much money they make. We don’t know how many tax-payer dollars they oversee. We don’t know how much power they wield.
Where are the checks and balances?

What do all of the following people (see list below) have in common? They are “czar’s” in the Obama Administration. What is a “czar” exactly? Wikipedia defines it this way:Originally, the title Czar (derived from Caesar) meant Emperor in the European medieval sense of the term, that is, a ruler who claims the same rank as a Roman emperor, with the approval of another emperor or a supreme ecclesiastical official (the Pope or the Ecumenical Patriarch).Occasionally, the word could be used to designate other, non-Christian, supreme rulers. In Russia and Bulgaria the imperial connotations of the term were blurred with time and, by the 19th century, it had come to be viewed as an equivalent of King. Now to be fair, Obama did not invent the position of czar in Washington. Many Presidents have had them. However, he appears to be on the verge of appointing yet ANOTHER czar to his already large family of czar’s and in doing so will own the title of President with the Most Czar’s. As stated in the Wall Street Journal yesterday: The Obama administration plans to appoint a “Special Master for Compensation” to ensure that companies receiving federal bailout funds are abiding by executive-pay guidelines, according to people familiar with the matter. The administration is expected to name Kenneth Feinberg, who oversaw the federal government’s compensation fund for victims of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, to act as a pay czar for the Treasury Department, these people said.Make no mistake, he knows exactly what he is doing. This is a first-rate power grab by a power-hungry President. You see the great thing about czar’s is that they operate with impunity and they are “under the radar” when it comes to making policy. They are accountable to nobody, except the administration. So in effect we have NON-ELECTED officials, who are backed by The White House, who are given the tools and resources to do the bidding of the President and they are accountable to NO ONE! These czar’s don’t have to undergo Senate Confirmation Hearings, they just get appointed. So as long as we are going to be serving all of these “kings” we should at least know who they are. In case we need to bow to them at some point. The following is a (partial) list of Obama’s Czar’s/Kings:
Energy czar: Carol Browner
…. Socialist Agent For World Government
Socialist International scrubs Carol Browner but deep connections to Bilderberg and globalist agenda remainhttp://www.propagandamatrix.com/articles/january2009/010909_socialist_agent.htm
Urban czar: Adolfo Carrion, Jr.
Infotech czar: Vivek Kundra
Faith-based czar: Joshua DuBois
Health reform czar: Nancy-Ann DeParle
New TARP czar: Herb Allison
Connected to Money, Money and More Money
Stimulus accountability czar: Earl Devaney
Non-proliferation czar: Gary Samore
It’s official, but still unannounced: The White House has tapped Gary Samore, a veteran arms control negotiator in the Clinton Administration, as its new “czar” for preventing the spread of weapons of mass destruction and terrorism.
Samore, a vice president at the Council on Foreign Relations, a New York-based non-partisan foreign policy think tank, formerly served as the National Security Council’s senior director under President Clinton from 1996 to 2000 and has had years of experience negotiating non-proliferation treaties and agreements with difficult countries like North Korea.
Terrorism (I thought they didn’t use that word) czar:
John Brennan chief executive officer of the Analysis Corp. [was] rumored to be a possible candidate for CIA director in the Obama administration reports The Washington Post.
Brennan is a former top CIA official who helped establish the National Counterterrorism Center in 2004. He left the agency in 2005 to become CEO of Analysis Corp. …
Ironically in March an Analysis Corp. employee working at the State Department was accused of improperly accessing Barack Obama’s passport file. In a statement at the time Analysis Corp. said “We deeply regret that the incident occurred and believe it is an isolated incident.” …
He served as an advisor to the Obama campaign on national security and is the head of Obama’s intelligence transition team. …
Regulatory czar: Cass Sunstein
– is a Harvard Law School professor Cass Sunstein, who argues that citizens’ rights exist only to the extent that they are granted by the government. Sunstein also, holds to a radical view of the constitution being a “living breathing document” that must be interpreted with modern context in mind, as opposed to a strict constructionist view of the constitution. In this view, Sunstein agrees with Justice Breyer’s belief that the original framers intended the Justices to have the freedom to participate in government itself, by creating legislation from the bench. Sunstein was a colleague of Obama at the Univeristy of Chicago Law School, and currently serves as an adviser to Obama. Obama’s personal views on the Supreme Court justices align very closely with those of Breyer, and Sunstein.
Conflict of Interest HERE! Cass Sunstein is the SPOUSE of Samantha Power; Obama’s Middle East Advisor!
Drug czar: Gil Kerlikowske
To appoint the current head of LEAP to the position of US Drugs Czar is an appaling reflection on President Obama’s commitment to eliminate America’s drug epidemic. LEAP is committed to drug legalisation in it’s entirety. Perhaps someone would advise the White House that the government has signed the UN Conventions on Narcotics. It seems George Soros billions have been well invested in America’s new President. God help America.

Croatia takes leading role in discussions on advancing progress in SEE at summit
The government of Croatia and the Croatian Prime Minister, Ivo Sanadar hosted the second Croatia Summit 2007: Europe’s New South in Dubrovnik July 6-7. As a NATO candidate country, Croatia has “an important role in South-Eastern Europe…with added responsibilities,” said Prime Minister Sanadar during his welcome address. The main goal of the conference was to pinpoint the most effective ways to make the most of the Euroatlantic integration process, as the process itself can spur much-needed reforms in the countries of the region. The highly-visible event also helped to raise public awareness to increase support for NATO throughout the region. Participants consisted of presidents, prime ministers, and foreign ministers from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Georgia, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia including Kosovo, Slovakia, as well as Daniel Fried, U.S. State Department assistant secretary of state; Zbigniew Brzezinski of the Center for Strategic and International Studies; and Peter Semneby, EU special envoy for the Caucuses, among others. BTD Executive Director, Ivan Vejvoda, attended the summit, along with the Executive Director of GMF’s Transatlantic Center in Brussels, Ronald D. Asmus.
So there you have it. (Some of)Obama’s Kings. Does anyone know ANYTHING about these people? Guess what? That’s the point. You don’t know them so they are anonymous. It’s easier to “get things done” when you are anonymous.Anonymous, unaccountable, invisible.
