“Where were the Democrats and where were a lot of us (Progressives)”? Do Progressives NOT consider themselves Democrats? If NOT, WHO are they?
VAN JONES ISSUES DIRE WARNING: THE TEA PARTY WILL USE POWER TO ‘DECIMATE US’
June 9, 2012
As The Blaze previously reported, liberals assembled this weekend in Providence, Rhode Island, for Netroots Nation, an annual conference aimed at promoting the progressive cause. Closing out the event was Van Jones, the former White House official who has distinguished himself as being especially hostile toward the American right. In his address, the one-time green jobs adviser warned the audience about the Tea Party and encouraged them to fight diligently to ensure their policies are enacted.
Here‘s just a sampling of Jones’ words:
“If the Tea Party is allowed to score a trifecta, their ideas already are corrupting the Supreme Court, you see that with Scalia’s antics, they already have half of the Congress. If they get the rest…and the White House…if the Tea Party governs America — if this time next year, you are living in a government run by the Tea Party — let me suggest to you that they might use power a little bit differently than we did. When they get power, they use it to decimate us…”
Jones also charged the Tea Party with “decapitating” unions. In the end, he went on to encourage progressives to push their values and to set their sights on December, when important budget issues will be under consideration.
Discussion of Tea Party begins at 2:33 min.

Take a Communist/Radical like Van Jones, put a suit on him and TRY to wrap him in moral garments…..he will still and always be a Communist Radical. Van Jones named his son Cabral after Amilcar Cabral the leader of the African Liberation Movement.
“How is it that we, a people deprived of everything, living in dire straits, manage to wage our struggle and win successes? Our answer is: this is because Lenin existed, because he fulfilled his duty as a man, a revolutionary and a patriot. Lenin was and continues to be, the greatest champion of the national liberation of the peoples.”
These were the words addressed to the delegates attending the seminar on “Lenin and National Liberation” held at Alma Ata, capital of Soviet Socialist Republic of Kazakhstan, in 1970 by Amilcar Cabral, Secretary-General of the PAIGC, who met his death on 20th January 1973 at Conakry, Guinea, at the hands of a traitor, Innocenta Canida, an agent of the Portuguese colonialists who had infiltrated into the ranks of the movement three years ago.
“Availing ourselves of this opportunity we want to express on behalf of our people fraternal gratitude to the Soviet people, the CPSU, its Central Committee for the versatile assistance you render us in our bitter struggle against the Portuguese colonialists, against the war and genocide, for independence, peace and progress of our African Motherland.” ~~Amilcar Cabral
Will he name another son Che or James after James Cone?
Progressives = Marxist/Leninist
or …put simply
Americanism vs. Communism
Is Van Jones perpetuating more lies? The Tea Party may have more power; that in political action, not violence or violent rhetoric.
Tea Party will “Decimate”…..”Decapitate”……

Campaign for America’s Future was founded in July 1996 as “the strategy center for the progressive movement.
CAF has ties to the Democratic Socialists of America, the Institute for Policy Studies and the Institute for Americas Future.
In 2002 Alexander Cockburn recounted Cohen saying: “In Detroit, SWP [the Socialist Workers Party] was at the center of all mass antiwar rallies.” These were the same antiwar gatherings Cohen wrote about having attended.
Cohen’s FAIR biography reports that he “did undergraduate work at the University of Michigan,” but says nothing about his having graduated with any degree. Soon thereafter he moved to Los Angeles where, according to FAIR, he “did his legal studies at the People’s College of Law” (PCL) — a school that does not require applicants for admittance to have earned an undergraduate college degree, but does require them to “demonstrate a commitment to progressive social change” with evidence of political activism. PCL has never been accredited, but because it has a license from a branch of the California Department of Consumer Affairs, its graduates are permitted to sit for the California State Bar Examination. By this path Jeff Cohen became a member of the California Bar in 1981.
