Will Someone In Congress PLEASE Investigate ACORN? READ THIS!

Acorn, the ones involved in voter registration fraud and the possible laundering of money (MILLIONS) through their Elyssian Ave address in New Orleans profess they have done nothing wrong.

Dale Rathke, the brother of Wade Rathke (Founded ACORN and tied to the SEIU Local 100) has embezzled a MILLION dollars from ACORN; no investigation, no charges; debt paid back to ACORN through the Tides Foundation.

Glenn Beck and Bill O’Reilly are investigating the connections and the link to the ACORN organization.

ACORN, through Bertha Lewis, will tell you that Wade Rathke was “let go” from the ACORN organization.  The ACORN organization has over 200+ umbrella organizations.

Well, I happened upon this the other day and thought I would shed some light on  it.

Did you know that Wade Rathke is representing ACORN International?  That he has his own blog site?

My End note:

Will SOMEONE in Congress develop a SPINE and launch an investigation into ACORN?

We know what happens to IG’s that investigate any ‘”friend” of Obama’s.  YOU’RE FIRED!  Ursurping the laws to protect supporters/friends.  Does this include ACORN?

Lawmaker Pushes for Investigation into ACORN Finances

Lawmaker Pushes for Investigation into ACORN Finances

Rep. Steve King, R-Iowa, a member of the Judiciary Committee, is demanding congressional hearings into the financial structure of the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now.

By Eric Shawn

May 28, 2009

Most of the investigations into ACORN, the low-income advocacy group, have focused on voter registration fraud. But now lawmakers want to follow the money.

Rep. Steve King, R-Iowa, a member of the Judiciary Committee, is demanding congressional hearings into the financial structure of the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now.

“I don’t think they’ve been examined in any significant way at all,” he said.

King questions the actions of ACORN officials as well as the multitude of nonprofit activist groups that apparently overlap with ACORN and share the same headquarters address in New Orleans.

“This spider web, this myriad web of ACORN dollars and revenue streams, every bit of them should be looked at, all the corporations that they are networked with all of the boards of directors of those corporations, the inner locking connecting, the faces that are the same from board to board.”

ACORN believes an investigation of its finances is “…a continuation of the right wing Republican attacks which continues to stalk ACORN. This ACORN as ‘punching bag’ redundancy is not worthy of your audience.”

But FOX News has found more than 250 nonprofit groups list ACORN’s New Orleans headquarters as their address. Among them is Citizens Services Inc., a firm that was paid more than $800,000 by the Obama campaign for a get-out-the-vote program last year.

Citizen Services lists two ACORN headquarters as its offices and even shares a third floor legal department with ACORN.

At least two complaints that accused ACORN and one Citizen Services of violating campaign financing laws were dismissed by the Federal Election Commission.

The FEC will not comment on current cases, and while the FBI is investigating ACORN, its focus is primarily voter registration fraud.

There have been four ACORN related state prosecutions since the election, dealing with alleged voter registration fraud. None involve ACORN’s finances.

But former FEC Commissioner Hans von Spakowsky says a wider probe is needed.

“ACORN has all these subsidiaries and affiliates that seem to be shell organizations with money being transferred between them and to investigate that takes a lot of resources,” said von Spakovsky, a visiting legal scholar at the Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank. “I really think that’s the kind of thing that only someone like the FBI could thoroughly investigate.”

End note:

1.  Obama worked with and trained ACORN.

2.  Rep. Conyers has stifled investigation into ACORN.

3.  ACORN is tied to voter registration fraud and currently is being investigated in at least three states.

4.  Wade Rathke, connected to ACORN and the SEIU Local 100 is the key.  Wade Rathke connects ACORN to the Tides Foundation and a “web” of others.  Look here:

Look around this map.  You can expand areas with little “webs” in the upper right hand corners of boxes.

Note:  Need Flash player to view.

5.  ACORN, connected to the Tides Foundation; connected to the Apollo Alliance.  Click on Apollo Alliance and then Frances G. Bieneke and view this: Note Van Jones is connected here too.

Note connected to the Alliance for Climate Protection:

The Alliance for Climate Protection is connected to Carol A. Browner (The one that had connections to the International Socialists that is Obama’s US Environmental Protection agency Administrator)

And the “web” just keeps getting bigger and bigger and bigger.  YET, with most maps they are tied to either the Obama Presidential Campaign,The Obama Transition team or Chicago Alliances.

Coincidence?   YOU DECIDE.

ACORN Eligible for $8.5 BILLION Dollars This Year?

From: The American Spectator

http://spectator.org/blog/2009/05/06/acorn-could-be-eligible-for-85

ACORN Could Be Eligible for $8.5 Billion This Year

As I told the Washington Examiner a few hours ago after reviewing the Obama stimulus bill and the proposed fiscal 2010 budget for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), ACORN and other left-wing advocacy groups could have a shot at pocketing up to $8.5 billion this year.

Here’s how I arrived at the $8.5 billion figure.

The $800 billion-plus stimulus bill, which is now formally known as the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 or Public Law 111-5, originally set aside $5.2 billion that could flow directly or indirectly into the coffers of ACORN and its liberal friends. It appears the $5.2 billion was chopped down to $3 billion in the version of the bill that President Obama signed into law on February 17. The $3 billion consists of $2 billion in funds set aside for the redevelopment of abandoned and foreclosed homes and $1 billion in Community Development Block Grants (CDBG).

CDBG is good old-fashioned graft. Local politicians of both parties love CDBG because it is flexible. The program gives them wide latitude when spending grant money and allows local leaders to use federal dollars on local projects that they wouldn’t dream of spending their own local tax dollars on. ACORN loves CDBG because it is adept at lobbying for CDBG funds.

In addition to the $3 billion available in the stimulus package, the proposed $47.5 billion HUD budget for the fiscal year that begins October 1 provides $1 billion for an affordable housing trust fund and $4.5 billion in CDBG funds that could be funneled to ACORN indirectly.

Of course ACORN won’t get it all, and given its history of electoral fraud and racketeering, it shouldn’t get a penny of federal money.

According to the Washington Examiner article, ACORN has taken in $53.6 million in federal funding since 1994.

Amazingly, ACORN spokesman Scott Levenson told reporter Kevin Mooney that his group has “received no significant federal funding.”

Nevada Authorities Accuse ACORN of Illegally Paying Canvassers

Attorney General Catherine Cortez Masto filed charges alleging the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now had a handbook and policies requiring employees in Las Vegas to sign up 20 new voters per day or be fired.

LAS VEGAS — Nevada authorities are accusing the political advocacy group ACORN and two former employees of illegally paying canvassers to sign up new voters last year.

Attorney General Catherine Cortez Masto filed charges Monday alleging the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now had a handbook and policies requiring employees in Las Vegas to sign up 20 new voters per day or be fired.

Nevada Secretary of State Ross Miller and Masto say that’s voter registration fraud, and it violates state law banning quotas for registering new voters.

A criminal complaint filed in Las Vegas Justice Court accuses ACORN and two former employees of 39 low-level felonies.

ACORN spokesman Scott Levenson in New York blames rogue former employees for the allegations. He says ACORN will fight the charges in court.
