Maurice Strong and George Soros: World Wizard and Financier Personified

From Canada Free Press: More information about Maurice Strong and financier George Soros.

All that President Barack Obama is doing to transform America, Free World over to One World Government begins and ends with one Maurice Strong. Soros is merely the financier

By Judi McLeod  Thursday, May 13, 2010

While the entire cable network world, thanks largely to The One Thing, now knows that Strong is on the Chicago Carbon Credit Exchange board of directors, it gets worse, much worse.

It’s true that Strong explained that he had only fantasized the end of the world in his now famous interview with a Canadian reporter.  Unfortunately for the free world, the fantasy is Strong’s philosophy.

As recently as 2006, speaking from an air conditioned boardroom somewhere in Communist China, Maurice Strong—the same man who would deny air conditioning for you to save the environment—was hatching his latest anti-American initiative.

“Having cashed in his Kyoto credits and having launched his ManyOne Internet project from afar, Strong is back on the international scene, ready or not.  With his latest comeback, the elusive Strong is stepping back into the limelight after his alleged links to the UN Oil-forFood scandal took him off the radar screen for more than a year.  This comeback sees Strong teaming up in the biz world with George Soros.  The deadly duo aims to flood the American market with cheap Chinese-made cars. (Strong & Soros in Business: A Partnership from Hell, CFP, June 15, 2006).

“Strong’s public predictions that China would replace the United States, as world superpower is not happening fast enough.  So Strong and President George W. Bush malcontent George Soros are contemplating pouring hundreds of millions into a Communist China automaker that manufactures the “Chery”.”

So Strong and Soros were working on anti-American schemes as far back as 2006.

They had hoped to decimate Ford, Chrysler and GM by flooding the U.S. market with cheapo Cherys on a 2007 deadline.

Well, we now know what happened to the American auto industry in 2009.

But it doesn’t even begin or stop there.

Maurice Strong has almost as much impact on average Americans as the air that they breathe.

All that President Barack Obama is doing to transform America and the Free World over to One World Government begins and ends with one Maurice Strong. Soros is merely the financier.

Here, in his own words, is what Strong wants for the middle class: “It is clear that current lifestyles and consumption patterns of the affluent middle class—involving high meat intake, consumption of large amounts of frozen and convenience foods, use of fossil fuels, appliances, home and work-place air-conditioning, and suburban housing—are not sustainable.  A shift is necessary towards lifestyles less geared to environmentally damaging consumption patterns.”  (1992 Rio Earth Summit 11).

Strong’s portrayal as a Wizard Oz in a fog of ether was helped along by Canada’s state-owned, liberal and largest television network, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC)l

The CBC 2004 special, The Life and Times of Maurice Strong, features a visit by Strong to former Soviet leader, Mikhail Gorbachev who gives Strong a CBC-described “glass saber full of the same brandy Stalin used to send Winston Churchill every week.”

Besides the financing by George Soros; the ROCKEFELLER FAMILY FOUNDATION is dumping money into this as well.

Smart Globalization

The Rockefeller Foundation envisions a world with Smart Globalization – a world in which globalization’s benefits are more widely shared and social, economic, health, and environmental challenges are more easily weathered. We support work that enables individuals, communities, and institutions to access new tools, practices, resources, services, and products.  And we support work that enhances their resilience to acute crises and chronic stresses, whether manmade, ecological, or both. This is our 21st century interpretation of the Foundation’s pioneering – and enduring – philanthropic mission to “promote the well-being” of humanity.

Seeking and shaping innovative solutions at the intersections of these five challenges, the Rockefeller foundation maintains a portfolio of interconnected initiatives

Maurice Strong’s unprecedented rise to power + Earth Charter and the Earth Council Alliance

MDJarv — July 05, 2009 — From the CBC documentary ‘Life and Times’ (2004).

This clip takes a look at one of the world’s leading figures behind the New World Order agenda, and someone near the very top of the global warming/global tax/one world government swindle. For the past several years, Strong has been living in China following his exposed involvement in the UN’s Oil for Food scandal.

While the documentary casts an unabashedly favorable and glowing light on Strong, making him out to be a humanitarian of sorts and someone wanting to make the world a better place through his connections in business and government, those who have done the research and have studied Mr. Strong’s background and associations understand that this simply isn’t the case. However, this clip does at least highlight the dizzying speed in which Strong rose to power, as well as his many elite associations.

Despite having little education and almost no credentials, Strong was quickly risen through the ranks of power after being vetted by globalist kingpin David Rockefeller in the mid-40s, at the United Nations headquarters in New York City, after Strong landed a job there with the help of people who had connections to the UN.

Strong played a vital role in the rise to power of former Canadian Prime Minister, Paul Martin, landing him his first real job at Canada’s Power Corporation. The same goes for James Wolfensohn, former president of the World Bank, who also later hired Strong as an adviser.

Paul Martin and Maurice Strong–two pals at play in the fields of the globe

Canada Free Press folks have their reasons for their coverage of the Paul Martin, Maurice Strong, et al connections. There are multiple stories linked to at the end of each of the following articles. Nonetheless, the information is useful, if not always the conclusions.

Saddam invested one million dollars in Paul Martin-owned Cordex
Judi McLeod April 22, 2005

The Canadian company that Saddam Hussein invested a million dollars in belonged to the Prime Minister of Canada, has discovered. Cordex Petroleum Inc., launched with Saddam’s million by Prime Minister Paul Martin’s mentor Maurice Strong’s son Fred Strong, is listed among Martin’s assets to the Federal Ethics committee on November 4, 2003. Among Martin’s Public Declaration of Declarable Assets are: “The Canada Steamship Lines Group Inc. (Montreal, Canada) 100 percent owned”; “Canada Steamship Lines Inc. (Montreal, Canada) 100 percent owned”–Cordex Petroleums Inc. (Alberta, Canada) 4.6 percent owned by the CSL Group Inc.” Yesterday, Strong admitted that Tongsun Park, the Korean man accused by U.S. federal authorities of illegally acting as an Iraqi agent, invested in Cordex, the company he owned with his son, in 1997. In that admission, Strong describes Cordex as a Denver-based company. Cordex Petroleum Inc. is listed among Martin’s assets as an Alberta-based company. Cordex had a U.S. subsidiary. Two years after taking the Park-through-Saddam one million dollars, Cordex went out of business. …

According to the today’s New York Sun, “the next chapter in the United Nations crisis may erupt over U.N. investigator Paul Volcker’s membership on the board of one of Canada’s biggest companies, Power Corporation, since a past president of the firm, Canadian tycoon Maurice Strong, is now tied to the oil-for-food scandal.” The missing facts are: Not only are Volcker and Strong hooked with the ties that bind to Power Corporation Inc., a company under investigation in the oil-for-food scandal, Prime Minister Paul Martin was launched into the business world with Canadian Steamship Lines by Paul Desmarais’s Power Corporation Inc. and his predecessor Jean Chretien’s daughter, France is married to Paul Desmarais’ son, Andre Desmarais. On national television last night, Prime Minister Paul Martin appealed for time in a six-minute address to the Canadian public, promising an election after the final Gomery report probing the mega-million dollar Liberal Party Adscam scandal. Martin’s public address to Canadians coincided with the very day that his long-time mentor Maurice Strong was tied to the $65-billion UN oil-for-food scandal. Was Martin using the Adscam scandal as a distraction in a Maurice Strong Cordex oil-for-food scandal that would inevitably lead back to him? At press time the Prime Minister’s office had not returned CFP’s telephone call.

Chairman of Paul Martin company that accepted Saddam’s million worked for Power Corp.
Judi McLeod April 25, 2005

The former chairman of the Prime Minister Paul Martin-owned company that accepted $1 million from Saddam Hussein, worked with Martin at the Paul Desmarais-owned Power Corporation. William Turner was chairman of Cordex Petroleums Inc., an oil and gas exploration and production company based in Alberta with an American subsidiary in Denver, Colo. Listed among Martin’s Public Declaration of Declarable Assets submitted to the Federal Ethics Committee are his 100 percent ownership of both Canada Steamship Lines and Canada Steamship Lines Group Inc., which owns 4.6 percent of Cordex Petroleums Inc. Martin’s mentor and senior aide to UN Secretary Kofi Annan admitted on Thursday that Tongsun Park, the Korean accused by U.S. federal authorities of illegally acting as an Iraqi agent, invested in Cordex, the company he owned with his son in 1997. “When former Power Corp. President Maurice Strong left to head up the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) in Ottawa, William Turner and Martin teamed up as president and vice president, respectively.” (Bill Rodgers, Sun Media, Sept. 14, 2003). Turner, a protégé of Strong’s, was one of the first NGO leaders selected for funding by Strong, and sat on the Foundation Board of the World Economic Forum. …

“Isn’t the only hope for the planet that the industrialized civilizations collapse? Isn’t it our responsibility to bring that about?” asked Maurice Strong, the founder of the UN Environment Program, during his opening speech at the Rio Earth Summit in 1992.

During an interview conducted in 1972, Strong talked about the concept of zero growth put forward by the Club of Rome in the late 1960s which called for the control of population and economic growth. The Club of Rome is a neo-Malthusian organization with interlocking membership with the European banking elite such as the Committee of 300 and the Bilderberg Group.

What is the EARTH CHARTER?

The Earth Charter is a declaration of fundamental ethical principles for building a just, sustainable and peaceful global society in the 21st century. It seeks to inspire in all people a new sense of global interdependence and shared responsibility for the well-being of the whole human family, the greater community of life, and future generations. It is a vision of hope and a call to action.

The Earth Charter is centrally concerned with the transition to sustainable ways of living and sustainable human development. Ecological integrity is one major theme. However, the Earth Charter recognizes that the goals of ecological protection, the eradication of poverty, equitable economic development, respect for human rights, democracy, and peace are interdependent and indivisible. It provides, therefore, a new, inclusive, integrated ethical framework to guide the transition to a sustainable future.

The Earth Charter is a product of a decade-long, worldwide, cross cultural dialogue on common goals and shared values. The Earth Charter project began as a United Nations initiative, but it was carried forward and completed by a global civil society initiative. The Earth Charter was finalized and then launched as a people’s charter in 2000 by the Earth Charter Commission, an independent international entity.

The drafting of the Earth Charter involved the most inclusive and participatory process ever associated with the creation of an international declaration. This process is the primary source of its legitimacy as a guiding ethical framework. The legitimacy of the document has been further enhanced by its endorsement by over 4,500 organizations, including many governments and international organizations.

In the light of this legitimacy, an increasing number of international lawyers recognize that the Earth Charter is acquiring the status of a soft law document. Soft law documents like the Universal Declaration of Human Rights are considered to be morally, but not legally, binding on state governments that agree to endorse and adopt them, and they often form the basis for the development of hard law.

(Excerpts from the charter)

We stand at a critical moment in Earth’s history, a time when humanity must choose its future. As the world becomes increasingly interdependent and fragile, the future at once holds great peril and great promise. To move forward we must recognize that in the midst of a magnificent diversity of cultures and life forms we are one human family and one Earth community with a common destiny. We must join together to bring forth a sustainable global society founded on respect for nature, universal human rights, economic justice, and a culture of peace. Towards this end, it is imperative that we, the peoples of Earth, declare our responsibility to one another, to the greater community of life, and to future generations.

3. Build democratic societies that are just, participatory, sustainable, and peaceful.

a. Ensure that communities at all levels guarantee human rights and fundamental freedoms and provide everyone an opportunity to realize his or her full potential.
b. Promote social and economic justice, enabling all to achieve a secure and meaningful livelihood that is ecologically responsible.

10. Ensure that economic activities and institutions at all levels promote human development in an equitable and sustainable manner.

a. Promote the equitable distribution of wealth within nations and among nations.
b. Enhance the intellectual, financial, technical, and social resources of developing nations, and relieve them of onerous international debt.
c. Ensure that all trade supports sustainable resource use, environmental protection, and progressive labor standards.
d. Require multinational corporations and international financial organizations to act transparently in the public good, and hold them accountable for the consequences of their activities.

14. Integrate into formal education and life-long learning the knowledge, values, and skills needed for a sustainable way of life.
a. Provide all, especially children and youth, with educational opportunities that empower them to contribute actively to sustainable development.
b. Promote the contribution of the arts and humanities as well as the sciences in sustainability education.
c. Enhance the role of the mass media in raising awareness of ecological and social challenges.
d. Recognize the importance of moral and spiritual education for sustainable living.

The entire charter can be read at:

In order to build a sustainable global community, the nations of the world must renew their commitment to the United Nations, fulfill their obligations under existing international agreements, and support the implementation of Earth Charter principles with an international legally binding instrument on environment and development.

ECA has been founded by two individuals with deep commitments to the sustainability movement. With the Rio Earth Summit in 1992, Maurice Strong originally established the Earth Council to mobilize and support a network of citizen groups, NGOs and other organizations committed to achieving the goals of sustainability. Now the Earth Council Alliance carries that commitment forward. Mr. Strong, ECA’s co-founder, serves as Chairman Emeritus.

Maurice Strong
Co-founder and Chairman Emeritus

Maurice Strong has been dedicated to environmental and humanitarian concerns for more than four decades. Mr. Strong founded the Earth Council with the 1992 Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro. He is now extending that effort with a new mandate to unite Earth Councils and like-minded organizations on a collaborative platform under the Earth Council Alliance. Mr. Strong was Secretary General of the United Nations Conference on the Human Environment, the Stockholm conference on sustainability in 1972; the first Executive Director of the United Nations Environment Programme; and Secretary General of the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development – the 1992 Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro.

Tommy E. Short
Co-founder and Chairman

Tommy E. Short is an international business man and philanthropist who has long supported sustainability projects around the world. In the past two decades, he has traveled extensively in the Americas, Europe, Africa, and Asia, working with local communities and organizations to identify and fund projects that support the environment, youth, and the arts. As co-founder and chairman of ECA. Mr. Short has taken further strides in identifying opportunities and communicating sustainability to numerous organizations with co-founder, Maurice Strong.

“The Earth Council Alliance seeks to accelerate world progress in acheiving sustainability goals as they are framed in The Earth Charter, Agenda 21 and the United Nations Millenium Development Goals.”

Agenda 21: United Nations program for Sustainable Development

United Nations Millenium Development Goals:

Strong prefers power extracted from democracies, and kept from unenlightened voters. Most power-crazed men would stop at calling for a one world Earth Charter to replace the U.S. Constitution, or the UN Charter.

But in an interview with his own Earth Charter Commission, Strong said “the real goal of the Earth Charter is it will in fact become like the Ten Commandments. It will become a symbol of the aspirations and commitments of people everywhere.”

Monday, December 2, 2002

Strong organized the UN first-world environmental summit in Stockholm in 1972 and has never stopped pressing for a world where UN resolutions would be enforced as law all over the Earth.

Strong, naturally, is on the board of the World Economic Forum. “What if a small group of these world leaders were to conclude the principal risk to the earth comes from the actions of the rich countries?…

In order to save the planet, the group decides: Isn’t the only hope for the planet that the industrialized civilizations collapse? Isn’t it our responsibility to bring this about?”

That’s Strong talking, but those are Blofeld’s words coming out. But this is no fictitious Bond movie villain speaking – it is the man who chaired the Rio Earth Summit and who is Kofi Annan’s senior adviser.

“This group of world leaders forms a secret society to bring about an economic collapse,” continued Strong, warming to his fantasy. “It’s February. They’re all at Davos. These aren’t terrorists.

“They’re world leaders. They have positioned themselves in the world’s commodities and stock markets. They’ve engineered, using their access to stock markets and computers and gold supplies, a panic. Then, they prevent the world’s stock markets from closing. They jam the gears. They hire mercenaries who hold the leaders at Davos as hostage. The markets can’t close…”

Strong catches himself. “I probably shouldn’t be saying things like this.”

ABOUT the World Economic Forum (held in Davos, Switzerland)

The World Economic Forum is an independent, international organization incorporated as a Swiss not-for-profit foundation. We are striving towards a world-class corporate governance system where values are as important a basis as rules. Our motto is ‘entrepreneurship in the global public interest’. We believe that economic progress without social development is not sustainable, while social development without economic progress is not feasible.

Our vision for the World Economic Forum is threefold. It aims to be: the foremost organization which builds and energizes leading global communities; the creative force shaping global, regional and industry strategies; the catalyst of choice for its communities when undertaking global initiatives to improve the state of the world.

***WHEN THE World Economic Forum meets in Davos, Switzerland GEORGE SOROS is there too.***

A USA leadership Board member for the World Economic Forum:

Rajat Kumar Gupta

Senior Partner Emeritus, McKinsey & Company, USA 1971, BSc, India Institute of Technology; 1973, MBA, Harvard School of Business. Formerly with McKinsey & Company: 1973, various positions; 1994-2003, Managing Director, worldwide; 2004-2007, Senior Partner. Since 2007, current position. Member of the Board of Trustees, University of Chicago. Member of the Board of Directors: Associates, Harvard Business School; Northwestern Memorial Corporation; Northwestern University. Member of the Advisory Board, Kellogg School of Management. Member: Foundation Board, World Economic Forum; Global Health Council. Expertise: strategic management and organization.

Rajat Kumar Gupta and Obama:

April 22 (Bloomberg) — Goldman Sachs Group Inc.’s November 2006 announcement of Rajat Kumar Gupta’s election to its board brimmed with the India native’s achievements: worldwide managing director of McKinsey & Co.; special adviser to the Secretary- General of the United Nations on management reform, co-chairman of the American India Foundation charity, whose honorary chair is former President Bill Clinton.

Goldman Sachs Chairman Lloyd Blankfein said at the time: “Our shareholders will be fortunate to have his strategic and operational expertise and judgment.” Now, with his term ending next month, Gupta is leaving the board.

On March 19, without explanation, the firm announced his decision, thanking him for his service. Three days later, prosecutors said they were examining trades in Goldman Sachs shares by Raj Rajaratnam, the central figure in the largest U.S. insider-trading case ever and a onetime Gupta business partner.

Goldman Comment

Goldman spokesman Ed Canaday declined to comment on the departure of Gupta, who earned $450,000 as a firm director last year, according to a regulatory filing.

Gupta, who has served on the Goldman board’s audit, compensation and corporate-governance committees, is a native of Kolkata, a Communist-run city in Eastern India. From lower middle-class beginnings, he managed an elite education and career: Delhi’s Modern School in the 1960s, a degree from the Indian Institute of Technology in 1971, Harvard Business School in 1973, and a job at McKinsey right after graduation.

Gupta joined with Rajaratnam and two other partners, including former Goldman Sachs Asia chairman Mark Schwartz, to form Taj Capital Partners in 2006. According to an October 2006 marketing document, the fund aimed to put $2 billion primarily into South Asian investments, half of it through a hedge fund run by Rajaratnam.

White House Dinner

Gupta and his wife were among dignitaries who attended a White House state dinner in November to honor Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, White House records show. White House spokesman Ben Labolt declined to comment.

Gupta, who has been a U.S. citizen since 1984, had a relationship with another Galleon case defendant, Anil Kumar, a friend and associate from his days at McKinsey. Kumar pleaded guilty Jan. 8 to leaking inside information to Rajaratnam over five years in exchange for $1.75 million. Kumar is now cooperating with federal prosecutors.

During Gupta’s time at McKinsey, Kumar headed an operation to outsource high-level McKinsey research to India. Gupta has spent much of his time in India, partly working on deals, since he stepped down at McKinsey in 2007.

Another current board member of P&G is Rajat Kumar Gupta, a top globalist with numerous connections to various agencies involved in Population Control. For example, Rajat Gupta serves as an advisor to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Gupta also serves as an advisor to the Secretary General of the United Nations. The most important link this man has to Population Control may be the fact that in 2006 he was appointed as a Trustee to the Rockefeller Foundation, at the same time as David Rockefeller Jr.

As I showed in the Rockefeller Timeline, the Rockefeller Family has a long history of involvement in Population Control.
The Rockefeller Foundation in particular has provided funding for the Factories used for China’s One Child Policy. But the most relevant operation of the Rockefeller Foundation to this report is it’s funding of the development of a Tetanus vaccine that sterilizes women. A document from 1995 lists the Rockefeller Foundation among a group of other organizations that funded the development of an anti-fertility vaccine using Tetanus and human pregnancy hormones.

A Global Agenda perpetrated by the likes of Maurice Strong, Soros, Al Gore and Obama.

Maurice Strong tied to Al Gore and Soros.

The United Nations has been “fed” an expense budget by the United States and participating countries around the world.  Because the United Nations (corruption personified) is afraid that their “money well” may dry up, is promoting the fear of Global Warming to push an agenda for none other than redistributing wealth around the world.

Al Gore and Maurice Strong will make MILLIONS off the cap and trade carbon credits through the Chicago Carbon Exchange. Notice the word: Chicago? (Obama tied to this too…..)

Another liason:

While Maurice Strong and George Soros Drool the Climate Hoax Marches On

Obama administration protecting the ‘green’ investments of its friends

The Obama administration’s attack on the Spanish study was written by two non-economist, pro-wind activists from the National Renewable Energy Laboratory. This is a part of the Department of Energy and is overseen by Assistant Secretary of Energy Cathy Zoi , who previously served as the CEO of Al Gore’s Alliance for Climate Protection. Al has a pal to protect his vast investments in renewable energy. But so does George Soros because it appears that Zoi turned to the Center for American Progress to help in the attack on the Spanish study (there is also a study from Denmark affirming the conclusions of the Spanish study). The Center for American Progress is a “think tank” “idea factory” and “hiring hall” for the Obama administration-and it was founded and primarily funded by George Soros.

What happened to the most transparent administration in history? What happened to the promise of reform?

Not ONE More Cent To The United Nations Until FULL AUDIT and Management Investigation is Done!

Has the United Nations been fully taken over by Progressives with their One World wealth redistribution ideology?

Courruption is being revealed over and over in  the past decade, yet the United States keeps pouring MILLIONS into this ineffectual and corrupt entity.

U.S. Ignored U.N. Aid Agency’s Fraud and Mismanagement

Between 2004 and 2008, the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) showered more than $330 million on an obscure United Nations agency known as UNOPS — United Nations Office for Project Services — to carry out development aid projects in Afghanistan. What happened next wasn’t pretty.

Among other things, USAID apparently overlooked a growing stack of U.N. audits and investigations that pointed to fraud, mismanagement and lack of internal financial controls by UNOPS in Afghanistan, even as the U.S. agency continued to shovel money in UNOPS’s direction. So did other branches of the U.S. government, to the tune of an additional $100 million.

In a stunning number of cases, however, USAID also ignored its own oversight procedures and did not even insist that contracts with UNOPS enshrine the agency’s uncontested right to access financial records that would tell how the U.S. government money was spent. Consequently those records were never examined.

In other cases, it looked like legal loopholes were created to make sure UNOPS got to keep its financial records out of USAID’s reach.

Worse, the oversight disaster may still not be fixed—even as UNOPS, claiming that it has changed its ways, may get a bigger role in Afghanistan, financed with dollops of U.S. money, in the months and years ahead.

A HISTORY of United Nations Corruption:

May 5, 2008

United Nations Facing More Corruption Allegations

The controversy surrounding the United Nations and claims of corruption within the body, continues today with allegations that members of the UN have engaged in a cover up stemming from allegations they have been trafficking in gold and arms.

The most recent allegations which are denied by the United Nations follow a pattern of what at best has been called incompetence and at worse, corruption within the United Nations body. The BBC alleges that the UN ignored or suppressed evidence that its troops in DR Congo gave arms to militias, and smuggled gold and ivory.

Over a decade ago, in 2004, the Washington Post obtained a copy of a 34 page report in which there were accusations of at least 68 cases of alleged rape, prostitution and pedophilia, leveled against UN Peacekeepers in Pakistan, Uruguay, Morocco, Tunisia, South Africa and Nepal, with more than 150 allegations of sexual misconduct.

In 2005, the UN was facing even more allegations about their peacekeepers in Burundi, Haiti, Liberia and elsewhere, which led to Jane Holl Lute, a senior U.N. peacekeeping official who heads a U.N. task force on sexual exploitation, telling a congressional committee, “The blue helmet has become black and blue through self-inflicted wounds. We will not sit still until the luster of that blue helmet is restored.” Report after report showed levels of abuse that were seen as a pattern, one that the UN seemed incapable of getting a handle on. In November of 2006, the BBC published the findings of an investigation showing that children have been subjected to rape and prostitution by United Nations peacekeepers in Haiti and Liberia.

In November of 2006, the BBC published the findings of an investigation showing that children have been subjected to rape and prostitution by United Nations peacekeepers in Haiti and Liberia.

Girls have told of regular encounters with soldiers where sex is demanded in return for food or money. A senior official with the organisation has accepted the claims are credible. The UN has faced several scandals involving its troops in recent years, including a DR Congo pedophile ring and prostitute trafficking in Kosovo.

Lute also commented for that report saying, “We’ve had a problem probably since the inception of peacekeeping – problems of this kind of exploitation of vulnerable populations. My operating presumption is that this is either a problem or a potential problem in every single one of our missions.” That is but one example of confirmed corruption that runs rampant throughout the UN and their missions.

The Oil-for-Food initiative was established by the United Nations in 1995 (under UN Security Council Resolution 986) and terminated in late 2003, was intended to allow Iraq to sell oil on the world market in exchange for food, medicine, and other humanitarian needs for ordinary Iraqi citizens without allowing Iraq to rebuild its military. As the program ended, there were revelations of corruption involving the funds.

Saddam Hussein’s dictatorship was able to siphon off an approximate $10 billion from the Oil-for-Food program through oil smuggling and thievery, by demanding illegal payments from companies buying Iraqi oil, and through kickbacks from those selling goods to Iraq–all under the noses of U.N. officials The members of the U.N. staff administering the program were accused of gross incompetence, mismanagement, and possible complicity with the Iraqi regime in perpetrating the biggest scandal in U.N. history.

On Monday August 8th, 2005, an independent commission has found that Benon Sevan, the former head of the UN’s oil-for-food program in Iraq, “corruptly benefited” from kickbacks while he was in charge. Another UN official, from the procurement office, is accused of soliciting bribes.

It bears noting that the son of the secretary general of the United Nation Nations, Kofi Annan, turned out to have been receiving payments as recently as early this year from a key contractor in the oil-for-food program.

UNITED NATIONS AND RWANDA GENOCIDE-1994. The Rwandan Genocide was the systematic murder of the country’s Tutsi minority and the moderates of its Hutu majority, in 1994. This was both the bloodiest period of the Rwandan Civil War and one of the worst genocides of the 1990s. In 1999, an international panel of experts issued a report which held the United Nations as well as other member countries, including and primarily, the United States, responsible for not preventing nor ending the genocide in Rwanda in 1994.

But the leader of the investigation, Ingvar Carlsson, a former Swedish prime minister, did not place all the blame on the United Nations. At a news conference today he said it would ”always be difficult to explain” why the Security Council — managed by the world’s major powers and not the United Nations bureaucracy — drastically cut the peacekeeping force in Rwanda, reducing it to a few hundred from 2,500 when the genocide began, and then increasing it to 5,500 when the weeks of massacres were over.

In 2004, a decade later, Kofi Annan, who at the time was the secretary-general for the United Nations, admitted their failings and said,

“The international community failed Rwanda and that must leave us always with a sense of bitter regret and abiding sorrow. If the international community had acted promptly and with determination, it could have stopped most of the killing but the political will was not there, and nor were the troops.

Worse than that though was testimony given before the United Nations International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda, by General Romeo Dallaire, revealed that the UN was warned three months before genocide about the stockpiling of arms and that they refused “his request to raid the arms caches later used in the massacre of some 800,000 Tutsis and moderate Hutus.”

Taking his stand in the witness box for the second day, the former commander said he requested authorisation to raid arms caches in January 1994. But General Dallaire said UN headquarters informed him this was outside the mandate of his mission. Three months later, a wave of killing swept Rwanda.

These scandals, allegations and investigations is just the tip of the iceberg of the problems that have plagued the United Nations since it was created in 1945 to replace the League of Nations. Other claims and convictions include bribery scandals, accusations of bias in the Arab-Israeli conflict and anti-Semitism, a UN ambulance was videotaped transporting Palestinian armed forces in 2004 as well as what has been listed above.

At the United Nations, the Curious Career of Maurice Strong

February 8, 2007

NEW YORK —  Before the United Nations can save the planet, it needs to clean up its own house. And as scandal after scandal has unfolded over the past decade, from Oil for Food to procurement fraud to peacekeeper rape, the size of that job has become stunningly clear.

But any understanding of the real efforts that job entails should begin with a look at the long and murky career of Maurice Strong, the man who may have had the most to do with what the U.N. has become today, and still sparks controversy even after he claims to have cut his ties to the world organization.

From Oil for Food to the latest scandals involving U.N. funding in North Korea, Maurice Strong appears as a shadowy and often critically important figure.

Strong, now 77, is best known as the godfather of the environmental movement, who served from 1973-1975 as the founding director of the U.N. Environment Program (UNEP) in Nairobi. UNEP is now a globe-girdling organization with a yearly budget of $136 million, which claims to act as the world’s environmental conscience. Strong consolidated his eco-credentials as the organizer of the U.N.’s 1992 environmental summit in Rio de Janeiro, which in turn paved the way for the controversial 1997 Kyoto Treaty on controlling greenhouse gas emissions.

But his green credentials scarcely begin to do justice to Strong’s complicated back-room career. He has spent decades migrating through a long list of high-level U.N. posts, standing behind the shoulder of every U.N. secretary-general since U Thant . Without ever holding elected office, he has had a hand in some of the world’s most important bureaucratic appointments, both at the U.N. and at the World Bank. A Canadian wheeler-dealer with an apple face and pencil mustache, Strong has parlayed his personal enthusiasms and connections into a variety of huge U.N. projects, while punctuating his public service with private business deals.

Along the way, Strong has also been caught up in a series of U.N. scandals and conflicts of interest. These extend from the notorious Oil-for-Food program to the latest furor over cash funneled via U.N. agencies to the rogue regime of North Korea, which involves, among other things, Strong’s creative use of a little-known, U.N.-chartered educational institution called the University for Peace. Above all, the tale of Maurice Strong illustrates the way in which the U.N., with its bureaucratic culture of secrecy, its diplomatic immunities, and its global reach, lends itself to manipulation by a small circle of those who best know its back corridors.

Officially, Strong cut his ties to the U.N. Secretariat almost two years ago, as federal investigators homed in on the discovery that back in 1997, while serving as a top adviser to then-Secretary-General Kofi Annan, he took a check for almost $1 million that was bankrolled by Saddam Hussein’s U.N.-sanctioned regime. The check was delivered by a South Korean businessman, Tongsun Park, who was convicted last summer in New York Federal Court of conspiring to bribe U.N. officials on behalf of Baghdad. Strong denied any wrongdoing and said he would step aside from his U.N. envoy post until the matter was cleared up.

Since then, Strong has receded, as he often does, into the shadows. He is currently spending most of his time in China.

The Obama/Soros/Strong Connection:

The story of the economic meltdown of 2008 begins and ends with the United Nations and its carefully managed One World Order.

Behind the curtain of this dark chapter in human misery are ogres Maurice Strong and George Soros.

It is both power lust and an all-consuming hatred of the United States of America that elevated this deadly duo to ogre status.

Fortunately for all of those searching for answers, much of their plan for the world, post November 4, 2008 is already mapped out in writing.

Leading economic experts and Strong agree that in 2012 people will be going hungry.

“Strong has worked diligently and effectively to bring his ideas to fruition, He is now in a position to implement them.” (Henry Lamb, The Rise of Global Governance, available at  “His speeches and writings provide a clear picture of what to expect.  In 1991, Strong wrote the introduction to a book published by the Trilateral Commission, called Beyond Interdependence: The Meshing of the World’s Economy and the Earth’s Ecology, by Jim MacNeil. (David Rockefeller wrote the foreword).  Strong said this:

“This interlocking…is the new reality of the century, with profound implications for the shape of our institutions of governance, national and international.  By the year 2012, these changes must be fully integrated into our economic and political life.”

These chilling words are in line with ones he used for the opening session of the Rio Conference (Earth Summit II) in 1992, that industrialized countries have:

“Developed and benefited from the unsustainable patterns of production and consumption which have produced our present dilemma.  It is clear that current lifestyles and consumption patterns of the affluent middle class—involving high meat intake, consumption of large amounts of frozen and convenience foods, use of fossil fuels, appliances, home and work-place air-conditioning, and suburban housing—are not sustainable.  A shift is necessary toward lifestyles less geared to environmentally damaging consumption patterns.”

The only change that has happened since 1992 is that Strong and Soros now have their Agent of Change coming to the White House.

In other words, the world according to Maurice Strong, is unfolding as it should.

In an era ridden by bankruptcies and job loss, Zombie-like cultists will swarm Washington, D.C. for the January 20, 2009 inauguration of Barack Obama.

Voluntary acceptance of global governance is the preferred means of achieving a takeover of America without a single shot having been fired.

“Education programs to teach the “global ethic” have been underway by UNESCO and by UNEP for more than twenty years.” (Page 90, The Rise of Global Governance). “That the U.S. government, through its representatives to the various U.N. agencies, has not already crushed this global governance agenda is s testament to the effectiveness of the U.N.’s education program.”

Back to how to how ogres Strong and Soros, along with others, were able to hijack a world economy.

“A new Economic Security Council (ESC) would replace the existing Economic and Social Council.  The new ESC would consist of no more than 23 members who would have responsibility for all international financial and development activities.  The IMF, the World Bank, and the WTO—virtually all finance and development activities—would be under the authority of this body.  There would be no veto power by any nation. (Italics CFP’s).  Nor would there be permanent member status for any nation.”

Bloggers and website owners may recall how the Obama campaign team seemed to have thousands of volunteers available with G-Mail accounts to send out a barrage of nasty letters any time a blog or website asked too many questions or dared to criticize “The Messiah”.

In a post January 20 world, it seems that Obama will develop his activist base from within the White House. [Called Organizing for America: Emphasis and words added here]

But in Maurice Strong’s New World, NGOs will flag the new order about truth tellers: “The Commission (on Global Governance) believes that the U.N. should protect the “security of the people” inside the borders of sovereign nations, with or without the invitation of the national government.  It proposes the expansion of an NGO “early warning” network to function through the Petitions Council to alert the U.N. to possible action.” (Italics CFP’s).

Maurice Strong has had a longtime influence with the major Foundations, which provide the funding for NGOs, and he has influence with the major international NGOs that coordinate the activities of the thousands of smaller NGOs around the world.

Small wonder that Strong spends his time far away in Communist China these days.

But there is a silver lining to be found even with the darkest of storm clouds over America and something for Americans to contemplate over the upcoming holidays.

In spite of the hype coming out of the Office of the President-elect, Obama is merely a fop for the global elite.  He is their, and not the people’s true agent of change.

The January 20 inauguration with its promise of 5 million observers in Washington, D.C. will be the extravaganza of a lifetime, deepening recession notwithstanding.

It is Obama’s job to demoralize the 58 million people who did not buy into his campaign and for all of those who do not want One World Order.

Then add Obama’s attempt at a Global Poverty Tax when he was U.S. Senator:

On December 7, 2007, Obama introduced the Senate version of the Global Poverty Act of 2007 (S.2433).  On February 13, the bill cleared the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, on which Obama and 6 (Biden, Dodd, Feingold, Hagel, Lugar, Menendez) of the bill’s 9 co-sponsors serve. The House version of the bill (H.R.1302) passed by a unanimous voice vote last September 25.

Here’s an abstract  of the proposed legislation:

“To require the President to develop and implement a comprehensive strategy to further the United States foreign policy objective of promoting the reduction of global poverty, the elimination of extreme global poverty, and the achievement of the [U.N.] Millennium Development Goal of reducing by one-half the proportion of people worldwide, between 1990 and 2015, who live on less than $1 per day.”

If enacted, how much of a financial commitment would that represent to taxpayers?

One estimate  is 0.7% of gross national product, or an additional $845 billion over 13 years in addition to existing foreign aid expenditures.  So far, this proposal is barely on the MSM radar, but we’re likely hear more about it as a full Senate vote approaches.
Here’s how Senator Obama’s website frames the bill:

“With billions of people living on just dollars a day around the world, global poverty remains one of the greatest challenges and tragedies the international community faces,” said Senator Obama. “It must be a priority of American foreign policy to commit to eliminating extreme poverty and ensuring every child has food, shelter, and clean drinking water. As we strive to rebuild America’s standing in the world, this important bill will demonstrate our promise and commitment to those in the developing world. Our commitment to the global economy must extend beyond trade agreements that are more about increasing corporate profits than about helping workers and small farmers everywhere.”  (emphasis added)

In other words, other nations will like us better if we give them our money. And, our trade agreements should not be about business profit, but benevolent social action.

Add to this the Climategate scandal of the United Nations in recent months.

WHY would ANY NATION continue to pour funds into a corrupt, unaccountable and seemingly teflon coated entity like the United Nations?

Truth to Power: Climate Czarina Carol Browner….What Conflict of Interest? Previously tied to Al Gore.

First THIS:

From Big

Climate Czar Brown: What Conflict of Interest?

by Christopher C. Horner

Well, here’s yet another thing the unconfirmable Obama “Climate Czarina” Carol Browner got around disclosing thanks to, and one more reason for being stuffed into, a position of influence through the backdoor of a phony job not subject to Senate confirmation, even while lording over Senate-confirmed constitutional officers:

She was on the board of one of the leading carbon offset trading companies, APX.

That makes for one really big conflict of interest in her role guiding the administration’s efforts to regulate carbon dioxide and force emitters to buy CO2 ration-coupons.

So, add this to her work for the Albright Group which is “secretive about its clients” (SourceWatch), violating a federal judge’s order to preserve documents by wiping computers clean while at EPA (sound at all relevant these days?), and her board membership for the Socialist International’s “climate” project.

Other than those I can’t think of too many reasons Obama wouldn’t want her subjected to disclosure requirements and scrutiny.

THEN ADD THIS:  **All credit for the following goes to FINTAN at:

Carol Browner, is Obama’s climate advisor.
She’s got some history and a conflict of interest like Al Gore’s.

Indeed, Browner began in politics as an aide to Gore.
Met Madeline Albright along the way…..
And never looked back:

She was one of Gore’s aides when he was a Senator from Tennessee and was his legislative director from ’88-’91. When Gore became VP, Browner was installed as head of the EPA….

After the Clinton EPA, Browner was a founding partner of the Albright Group (along with Madeleine Albright – Clinton’s Secretary of State).  In 2006 she was involved with supporting the Dubai Ports World in the controversial takeover deal of an American company responsible for
several ports.

Browner is on the Board of Directors of the Center for American Progress (started by John Podesta, Clinton’s final Chief of Staff) – where the stand on energy is “to reduce the world’s reliance on dirty, carbon-based energy”

Like Al Gore, who has major investments in carbon credit trading via Generation Investment Management (see Carbon Monetization),  Browner also has a similar conflict of interest.

She is on the Board of Directors of APX Inc. APX is a “technology and service provider for environmental and energy markets, including renewable energy, energy efficiency and carbon emissions.”

She said: “The explosive growth in environmental commodities trading will result in a greater need for market oversight. … APX is a world-class environmental infrastructure company with a long history of public-private partnerships, and I look forward to helping them capitalize on the full potential of these markets.”

But it’s not all Dirty Capitalism with Mz. Browner.

She is a member of the Socialist international, and had a seat on the Socialist Group’s Environmental Commission. Now the website of the group has scrubbed all reference to her –except this one photo:

End note:

Carol Browner is tied to Al Gore who is tied to Maurice Strong………

Do these three think Americans are dumb?

Will these three laugh all the way to the bank?
