Australia leads the way in rejecting climate change ‘solutions’

Take Australian Senator Steve Fielding who decided to investigate the evidence himself. An engineer by training, Fielding attended the recent Heartland Institutes Climate Change conference where skeptics presented about a dozen papers that exposed several myths about global warming:
Fielding has issued a challenge to the Obama White House to rebut the data. It will be a novel experience for them, as Fielding is an engineer and has an Australian’s disregard for self-important government officials. Here is how The Age described his challenge:
Senator Fielding emailed graphs that claim the globe had not warmed for a decade to Joseph Aldy, US President Barack Obama’s special assistant on energy and the environment, after a meeting on Thursday…. Senator Fielding said he found that Dr. Aldy and other Obama administration officials were not interested in discussing the legitimacy of climate science.
Telling an Australian you’re not interested in the legitimacy of your position is a red rag to a bull. So here is what Fielding concluded:
Until recently I, like most Australians, simply accepted without question the notion that global warming was a result of increased carbon emissions. However, after speaking to a cross-section of noted scientists, including Ian Plimer, a professor at the University of Adelaide and author of Heaven and Earth, I quickly began to understand that the science on this issue was by no means conclusive….
AT discussed Heaven and Earth last April. Tracinski and Minchin quoted journalist Paul Sheehan who had been a vigorous global warming advocate who changed his tune after reading the book:
Much of what we have read about climate change, [Plimer] argues, is rubbish, especially the computer modeling on which much current scientific opinion is based, which he describes as “primitive.”…The Earth’s climate is driven by the receipt and redistribution of solar energy. Despite this crucial relationship, the sun tends to be brushed aside as the most important driver of climate. Calculations on supercomputers are primitive compared with the complex dynamism of the Earth’s climate and ignore the crucial relationship between climate and solar energy.To reduce modern climate change to one variable, CO2, or a small proportion of one variable-human-induced CO2-is not science. To try to predict the future based on just one variable (CO2) in extraordinarily complex natural systems is folly.
There is rising recognition that introduction of a carbon tax under the guise of “cap and trade” will be personally costly, economically disruptive to society and tend to shift classes of jobs offshore. Moreover, despite rising carbon dioxide concentrations, global warming seems to have taken a holiday….With public perceptions changing so dramatically and quickly it is little wonder Ian Plimer’s latest book, Heaven and Earth, Global Warming: The Missing Science, has been received with such enthusiasm and is into its third print run in as many weeks. [It’s now up to the fifth printing.]The public is receptive to an exposé of the many mythologies and false claims associated with anthropogenic global warming and are welcoming an authoritative description of planet Earth and its ever-changing climate in readable language.
Cap and trade is not about saving the planet. It is about enriching government at the expense of private industry. Obama expects that selling of carbon credits will bring in hundreds of billions of dollars that will finance his health insurance power grab and other schemes. They are not interested in the science. They are interested in the dollars.
And the American family – to the tune of at least $1300 in increased energy bills – will pay for it.

What a breath of fresh air!! I live in Australia and was formerly an unquestioning believer in the proposition of AGW until I began to read about the so called “science”. It is so flawed and peppered with vested interests that no thinking individual could accept it as fact.
The tide is certainly turning in Australia, both from the common man in the street right through to emminent scientists. A healthy debate is now developing rather than the stilted, factless arguments of late, which were not allowed to be questioned.
Thank God or whoever for this return of healthy scepticism and much needed debate on this important theory. I am open to accepting AGW but only if and when it is backed up with empiracal evidence!!
The likes of quasi-religious zealots like Mr Al Gore who rely on sensationalism and shaky science to promote their case has irrevocably damaged this argument and as his “facts” are disproved one by one the public becomes more and more cynical and are less likely to accept such propositions from well meaning but clearly misguided individuals such as Mr Gore.
The general feeling here in Australia is that these self appointed messiahs should step back and let science speak for itself. Let truth be the star!!!

I have studies much information on this topic. The fact that the American politicians are uninterested in discussing the validity is unsurprising.
To anyone wishing an alternative view watch “The Great Global Warming Swindle” Look up the Oregon Petition with over 35000 ‘real’ scientist at best say the proffered science behind co2-based warming is inconclusive and at worst say it is a load of rubbish.
The Greenland Ice Core Project [GRIP] from whence the data for the wonderful graph of Gore arose, see how Gore misrepresented the info. The sun heates the planets after decades of warming the seas temp increases and this causes them to release some of the absorbed co2.
Yes, if you plot a graph of co2 and temperature there is correlation but the temperature increase leads the co2 increase sometimes by as much as 800 years.
Water-vapour is the best ‘greenhouse gas’ and the Tzars are now discussing making clouds! Then we really will have some warming.

Last night marked a few firsts for me.. First time to an IMAX theater, first time I’ve been able to go on a date with my wife in quite some time, and first time I’ve helped to break a Guinness world record. Well, the world record isn’t confirmed yet…
Just for the record, the majority of Australians believe in Climate Change. This Steve Fielding fellow is also a religious nutcase. If your willing to believe the world was created by a supernatural force in 7 days your probably not that big on science anyway, unless that is, it supports your loony ideas…

The promotion of anthropogenic/man-made causes of Climate Change came from the right corporate, global transnational,moneyed-interests not from liberal or radical progressives. Well meaning and unwitting environmental and “green” camps have been coopted by these profit mongers to the point where even disinterested scientists like Bill Carter are being villified.

Like you, I accepted the ‘global warming’ / ‘climate change’ agenda until I became suspicious of the motives of those involved at the top on account of other things they were involved in. (I am an Australian also) Then I realised that the carbon-dioxide-driven climate change agenda is fraudulent and is simply a pretext for setting up world government.
There is no correlation between levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and temperature. Over the last ten years, carbon dioxide levels have increased, yet temperatures have fallen. In any case, carbon dioxide only accounts for less than 400 parts per million in the earth’s atmosphere (ie. 0.04% or 4% of 1%). It is not present in large enough volumes to influence the climate. In short, carbon dioxide emissions are not causing global warming.
‘Climate change’, which used to be called ‘global warming’, is a fraud designed to extract maximum taxation revenue from the populace in order to disempower the populace and make it easier to set up a global government together with a world-wide police state. The line of reasoning will go like this, “All countries need to come together to tackle ‘climate change’. So let’s come together to tackle everything else (ie. establish global government).”
Fortunately, they’re not going to succeed. Too many people already know that the whole thing is fraudulent.

Google professor Bob Carter and watch his 7 torpedoes video. Any 5th grader can show that temperature increase PRECEDES CO2 release. Take a cold bottle of soda water and let it sit around on the bench with the cap off. It goes flat because as the temp increases, CO2 is released. The release of CO2 does NOT cause the cold bottle to get warmer. Worried about the sea turning to Carbolic acid ?, don’t worry, your drinking it in a concentration 1000 time higher than the seas could ever get – its called SODA WATER.The mind boggles.
Senator Fielding is a HERO as far as I am concerned. Obama is part of the Bilderberg Group. That says everything. Slick talking, two-faced liar. It’s all about controlling the masses on a global scale and FURTHER REDUCING YOUR FREEDOM. Obama is at the heart of it. Senator Fielding bravo to you for speaking out. Rudd is thick as pig shit and a total wuss. Rudd is a puppet too, but at least anyone with even half a brain can SEE he is a puppet! Good to see people waking up to this whole subject.
