I really hate to be the one to break it to Democrat voters. As conservatives, we’ve long suspected that Obama and his cohorts in the Democrat party don’t really have much respect for people who vote Democrat. The last week or so has confirmed it. There’s no way Obama & Co. could pull the stunts they’re pulling and expect people who have only a couple of brain cells to rub together to support it – and even defend it as if the crap made any sense.

A few months ago, Obama restated that his administration’s number one priority is to create jobs. To prove it, he went on a bus tour where he told anyone who would listen that he had this super-duper plan to create jobs and congress needed to “pass this bill now.” The Democrats in the Senate apparently missed the memo and promptly 1) delayed a vote on the bill for over a month and then 2) failed to get it passed. Obama, to this day, still acts like this bill isn’t dead, by the way. He just keeps telling Democrat voters that Republicans aren’t willing to compromise and pass his plan.

It is this – the “compromise” canard – that really shows just how stupid Democrat politicians think Democrat voters are. You see, since Obama’s “jobs bill” died in the Senate, the new shiny thing they’ve been dangling around as the solution to everything is the extension of the payroll tax cuts which were part of the stimulus back in 2009. Don’t forget: Jobs are priority number one. These payroll tax cuts must be extended or the economy will take a hit. Democrats are saying this while simultaneously saying those tax cuts should be “paid for” by increasing taxes on rich people. Yeah. It makes no sense, but stick with me on this.

Anyway, the tax cuts need to be renewed and Democrats are saying that if you couple the cuts with an extension of unemployment benefits, it will create jobs. Let’s just roll with it. At this point, it is futile to try to explain to Leftists that unemployment benefits don’t create jobs. It’s time to just pat them on the head and just say “Okay, Spanky.” The point is that Democrats are saying they want to create jobs and are even pulling job-creating measures – like unemployment benefits – out of thin air. Still with me?

So the Republicans say, “Okay. You want to create jobs? We’re in. We’re going to give you the payroll tax cut extension. We’re even going to give you the unemployment benefit extension. But, since you say you want to create jobs, we’re going to take out job-killing tax hikes on the rich and insert a guaranteed job-creating project called the Keystone XL pipeline. Deal?”

Now, you read that and you think, “Hey. That sounds like a reasonable compromise. Obama and Democrats get what they said they wanted to create jobs, and Republicans modified it with something guaranteed to create jobs and took out a tax hike. That’s doable, right?” Nope! Obama, claiming Republicans were “playing politics,” issued an official notice that they’d veto a job-creating bill that had the Keystone XL pipeline provisions in it.

You don’t have to be a MENSA member to realize that Obama & Co. are playing politics by claiming Republicans are playing politics. It’s obvious they are. The only way Obama would pull something so blatantly partisan, so blatantly deceitful, is if he is confident the people he expects to vote for him are complete idiots.

Then, to wash down the crap sandwich that he expects Democrat voters to swallow, he claims that Republicans are using gridlock to keep the economy down so he loses in November. Really. He said this. Republicans passed a bill that gives him everything he said would create jobs, plus the pipeline which will create jobs, and he said he would veto it. Who is preventing things from getting done? Obama. That’s who. Meanwhile, the lemmings continue to parrot the lie that Republicans are holding up measures to improve the economy.

If I were a Democrat voter, I’d be insulted. Then again, I’d be too stupid to know I’m being scammed.

  1. You’re a good little sheep. Keep up your brownshirt activities and we’ll soon have fascism in the U.S.

    ====================

    Aw, come on Ben. I know what side of the Obama-sheep fence (Hoffman Post: Breaking News and Progressive Politics) you are on. Baaaaa….Baaaa……

    Alinskyism doesn’t work here.

    Work for Obama, Get a Federal Contract, and Watch Left-Wing Pseudo-Journalists Roll Over and Purr

  2. “Alinskyism…” You right-wingers are like robots. You all spit out the same talking points. If you didn’t have sites like redstate.com, you wouldn’t know what your opinion should be.

    ======================

    Ben:

    Through a process combining hope and resentment, the organizer tries to create a “mass army” that brings in as many recruits as possible from local organizations, churches, services groups, labor unions, corner gangs, and individuals.

    Alinsky provides a collection of rules to guide the process. But he emphasizes these rules must be translated into real-life tactics that are fluid and responsive to the situation at hand.

    Rule 1: Power is not only what you have, but what an opponent thinks you have. If your organization is small, hide your numbers in the dark and raise a din that will make everyone think you have many more people than you do.

    Rule 2: Never go outside the experience of your people.
    The result is confusion, fear, and retreat.

    Rule 3: Whenever possible, go outside the experience of an opponent. Here you want to cause confusion, fear, and retreat.

    Rule 4: Make opponents live up to their own book of rules. “You can kill them with this, for they can no more obey their own rules than the Christian church can live up to Christianity.”

    Rule 5: Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon. It’s hard to counterattack ridicule, and it infuriates the opposition, which then reacts to your advantage.

    Rule 6: A good tactic is one your people enjoy. “If your people aren’t having a ball doing it, there is something very wrong with the tactic.”

    Rule 7: A tactic that drags on for too long becomes a drag. Commitment may become ritualistic as people turn to other issues.

    Rule 8: Keep the pressure on. Use different tactics and actions and use all events of the period for your purpose. “The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition. It is this that will cause the opposition to react to your advantage.”

    Rule 9: The threat is more terrifying than the thing itself. When Alinsky leaked word that large numbers of poor people were going to tie up the washrooms of O’Hare Airport, Chicago city authorities quickly agreed to act on a longstanding commitment to a ghetto organization. They imagined the mayhem as thousands of passengers poured off airplanes to discover every washroom occupied. Then they imagined the international embarrassment and the damage to the city’s reputation.

    Rule 10: The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative. Avoid being trapped by an opponent or an interviewer who says, “Okay, what would you do?”

    Rule 11: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, polarize it. Don’t try to attack abstract corporations or bureaucracies. Identify a responsible individual. Ignore attempts to shift or spread the blame.

    According to Alinsky, the main job of the organizer is to bait an opponent into reacting. “The enemy properly goaded and guided in his reaction will be your major strength.”

    Again Ben try something else…..you are getting somewhat boring.

  3. Apply the same standards to Republicans and you’ll find they’re far more guilty of using Alinsky tactics.

    ==================

    So do you BELIEVE everything Obama spews Ben?

    OR do you think for YOURSELF?

    Romanticpoet

  4. Actually I’ve been extremely critical of Obama. Republicans are far worse, though.

    ==================

    Would it surprise you to find out I was a Registered Democrat for 35+ Years? Became an Independent voter in July 2008 because the Democrat party had been strongly infiltrated/co-opted by PROGRESSIVES/Socialists/Marxists.

    Would love to see Allen West as a choice instead of current Republican choices. BUT I Will vote in November 2012 for anyone BUT Obama.

  5. There’s no such things as the “Democrat” party. Independent voter is the same thing as a “low-information” voter. You just jump on whatever bandwagon happens to be passing through town.

    ====================

    Your attempt to ridicule me has FAILED Ben. Move on.

    More responses will NOT be answered.
