Arif Alikahn, Former Department of Homeland Security Assistant Secretary for Policy Development:  

Now a Distinguished Visiting Professor of DHS and Counterterrorism at the National Defense University, Alikahn also served as Deputy Mayor for Public Safety for the City of Los Angeles where he reportedly derailed the LAPD’s efforts to monitor the city’s Muslim community — particularly its radical mosques and madrassas where certain 9/11 hijackers were said to have received support. He is affiliated with MPAC, which has called the terrorist group Hezbollah a “liberation movement.”

Salam al-Marayati, Founder and Executive Director of Muslim Public Affairs

Council (MPAC): Marayati is an Iraqi immigrant who drew national attention over a decade ago when then-House Democratic Leader Richard Gephardt nominated him to serve on the National Commission on Terrorism. Backlash over al-Marayati’s defense of Hezbollah and other Islamic groups prompted a withdrawal of the nomination. The Center for Security Policy reports that MPAC was formed in 1986 as the Political Action Committee for the Islamic Center for Southern California, one of the largest Wahhabi mosques in the country. While MPAC later fractioned-off, one of the founders of the Islamic Center, Hassan Hathout, was a senior member of the Muslim Brotherhood who also spent time in Egyptian prison.

Mohamed Elibiary, Homeland Security Advisory Committee Member:

He is the former president of the Freedom and Justice Foundation, which was billed to ”promote a Centrist Public Policy environment in Texas by coordinating the state level government and interfaith community relations for the organized Texas Muslim community.” He spoke at a 2004 conference in Dallas praising the “Great Islamic Visionary” Ayatollah Khomeini.  Most recently he is famous for leaking highly sensitive intelligence documents to a media outlet in Texas.

Rashad Hussain, State Department Special Envoy to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation:

 

The Global Muslim Brotherhood Daily Report uncovered that Hussain spoke at a conference sponsored by the Muslim Brotherhood affiliate, the Association of Muslim Social Scientists. An internal Brotherhood document dubbed the Social Scientists as one of “our organizations and the organizations of our friends.” Hussain also spoke at the Prince Alwaleed Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding of Georgetown University, which reportedly receives Saudi funding and is directed by Muslim Brotherhood advocate, John Esposito. In 2004, Hussain also participated in the Muslim Students Association’s annual conference, a group founded by the Muslim Brotherhood and known as one of its front-groups. The report also asserts that many of the Student Associations’ nearly 600 college chapters “have engaged in extremism and the group closely collaborates with the other Brotherhood fronts.”

Other Brotherhood sympathizers involved  in the administration but who tend to travel beneath the radar include:

Imam Mohamed Magid, Homeland Security Countering Violent Extremism Working Group Member : He is a Sudanese-born president for the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) with alleged ties to the Muslim Brotherhood. ISNA’s parent is the Muslim Student Association. ISNA completed a $21 million headquarters in Indianapolis using funds raised in part from Muslim Brotherhood.

Eboo Patel, Obama Administration Advisory Council on Faith-Based Neighborhood Partnerships: Patel spoke at a Muslim Students Association and ISNA convention, appearing on a panel alongside Tariq Ramadan, grandson of the Muslim Brotherhood’s founder, and Siraj Wahhaj, who was named as a possible co-conspirator in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing and has defended the convicted WTC bombers. Wahhaj allegedly advocates the Islamic takeover of America.

Huma Abedin, Deputy Chief of Staff to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton: 

Perhaps most famous for being wife of the disgraced former congressman Anthony Weiner, Huma Abedin appears to have family ties to the Muslim Brotherhood. In an interview with FrontPageMag, anti-Islamist author Walid Shoebat explained that Huma’s mother, Saleha Abedin, is involved with the Muslim Brotherhood and that Huma’s brother, Hassan, sits in on the board of the Oxford Centre For Islamic Studies (OCIS) where he is a fellow and partners with other board members including “Al-Qaeda associate, Omar Naseef and the notorious Muslim Brotherhood leader Sheikh Youssef Qaradawi; both have been listed as OCIS Trustees.”

Look Who’s Advising Obama

The Obama Administration announced it was officially abandoning use of the phrase “global war on terror”, as well as references to “jihadists”. In fact, the only terminology now accepted by the Obama Administration is a reference to fighting Al-qaeda. As if no other “jihadist” terror organizations exist.

Wonder why?

Last February Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal’s “Center for Muslim Christian Understanding, [CMCU], held a panel discussion on the Middle East.

Imad-ad-Dean Ahmad, Ph.D., reported on this panel discussion in an article posted to his minaret blog entitled “Advising Obama on the Middle East”

A few excerpts:

”The panelists were Aaron David Miller of the Woodrow Wilson Center, Hisham Melhem of Al-Arabiyya (who scored the first official interview with President Obama), Prof. Paula Newberg, expert on Afghanistan and Pakistan, newly arrived to the Georgetown campus, and Prof. John Esposito, the founder of CMCU.”

”Hisham Melhem spoke on “Redefining the War on Terrorism and the Freedom Agenda”. He argued that the Middle East is more fragmented than it was eight years ago, weaker,and, except for a few islands of prosperity, more economically depressed. It is mainly without political leadership,, weakened by two wars that have reduced America’s influence. Hope for change lies in the fact that the new president has deep roots in Africa, has lived in Indonesia, and has Muslim family members.”

”Melham explained that terrorism is a tactic, not an ideology nor a well-defined enemy. He asked why borrow terminology with deep European roots to foist a phrase like Islamo-fascism on Muslims?”

The first announcement by Clinton that team Obama was dropping the “war on terror” phrase occured in March. About a month after the CMCU panel discussion.

In 2005 the CMCU received a $20 million donation from Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal. The Arab prince is one of the most wealthy Arabs in the world. According to a report by Forbes, he ranks 2nd behind Warren Buffet in terms of wealth.

Douglass Farah writes on how the Muslim Brotherhood is making inroads of influence in the Obama Administration:

”The architect is Dr. John Esposito, a long time defender of the MB and the head of the Saudi-financed Georgetown University Prince Alwaleed bin Talal Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding at the Walsh School of Foreign Service.”

”The same Dr. Esposito who maintained prior to 9/11 that radical Islam was essentially a myth and certainly no danger. It is hard to imagine any academic being so consistently wrong in their professed field of expertise maintaining much influence, but there he is, deeply enmeshed with all the major MB legacy groups in the country.”

Asaph Rowmirowsky wrote in the MEF:

”Even more problematic is the Prince Alwaleed bin Talal Center for Muslim–Christian Understanding, named for the Saudi prince whose $20 million donation in 2005 gave the Center’s leader, John Esposito, a much louder voice in the Middle East studies community. Since then, the Alwaleed Center has become the locus of academic apologetics for Wahhabism in America. Along with his colleagues Yvonne Haddad, John Voll, and others, Esposito and the newly rejuvenated center arenow in a position to proliferate a glossy vision of Wahhabi Islam to Americans.”

Why is this important?

The wealthy Saudi business man has stated that if “Arabs unite economically” they can influence U.S. policy.

A report at memri on a Saudi newspaper details the extent to which the Saudis have invested $billions to spread wahabbist Islam in the U.S. and around the world:

“The Kingdom has established more than 1,359 mosques abroad at a cost of SR 820million. Other mosques partially financed by the Kingdom included mosques in Zagreb, Lisbon, Vienna, New York, Washington, Chicago, Ohio, Virginia, and 12 mosques in a number of countries in South America.”

An article in the Washington Times two years ago on Saudi Interest in America, noted the purchase of shares in News Corp. by Prince Alwaleed bin Talal:

“The Saudis’ potential influence on U.S. and international media was recently illustrated by the prince’s purchase of 5.6 percent of voting shares in News Corp., the world’s largest publisher of English newspapers.”

The same article noted that government sources estimated Saudi holdings in America to be between $400 to $800 billion dollars.

Citizen Warrior reports the following:

“The Saudis have funded more than 80 percent of the Wahhabi-influenced mosques built in the United States within the last 20 years. Moreover, the majority of Muslim Student Associations at U.S. colleges are dominated by Islamic and anti-American agendas, as are most of the numerous Islamic Centers and schools financed by the Saudis.”

From Paul Revere: Experts Warn of Yale University Saudi Ties

“Yale University has named a man tied to terrorism-sponsoring Saudi prince and Muslim Brotherhood as a “Yale World Fellow,” writes Martin Kramer of the Washington Institute for Near East Policy on the Hudson New York web site.”

“Muna Abu Sulyaman, the individual who received the title from Yale, serves as a liaison between universities and Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, who has donated to fundraisers for the families of Palestinian “martyrs,” a term often used to describe suicide bombers as well as casualties of the conflict with Israel, according to Militant Islam Monitor.

“Alwaleed has given millions of dollars to controversial Muslim organizations in the U.S. that claim to be “moderate” but have been tied to the radical Muslim Brotherhood group, and has provided universities such as Harvard with tens of millions of dollars. For example, he donated $20 million to Georgetown University’s Prince Alwaleed Bin-Talal Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding, which is directed by John Esposito, a prominent defender of Muslim Brotherhood, according to the Investigative Project on Terrorism’s blog.”

“Sulayman is also the daughter of a “Muslim Brotherhood kingpin,” according to the Global Muslim Brotherhood Daily Report.”

“Can you imagine a better way to set the stage for a major Alwaleed gift? Hosting for a semester the very person who structured the Harvard and Georgetown gifts, and who now directs Alwaleed’s charitable foundation? A stroke of genius,” Kramer writes in his article.”

Muslim Brotherhood Meets in the White House

A year after the Egyptian uprising, Hosni Mubarak’s fall and the Muslim Brotherhood’s rise in the country, the White House held talks with the radical Islamist group this week. This is the same Muslim Brotherhood that has called for the “review”of the Egyptian peace treaty with Israel and the same Muslim Brotherhood pushing Shariah law in their position of new leadership in Egypt.

White House officials held talks with representatives of the Muslim Brotherhood in Washington this week, as the Islamist group threw itself into the fray in Egypt’s presidential election.

The meeting on Tuesday with low-level National Security Council staff was part of a series of US efforts to broaden engagement with new and emerging political parties following Egypt’s revolution last year, a US official said.

“We believe that it is in the interest of the United States to engage with all parties that are committed to democratic principles, especially nonviolence,” said National Security Council spokesman Tommy Vietor.

Nonviolence?

One might wonder how an organization can be thought to have renounced violence when it has inspired more jihadists than any other, and when its Palestinian branch, the Islamic Resistance Movement, is probably more familiar to you by the name Hamas — a terrorist organization committed by charter to the violent destruction of Israel. Indeed, in recent years, the Brotherhood (a.k.a., the Ikhwan) has enthusiastically praised jihad and even applauded — albeit in more muted tones — Osama bin Laden.

No surprise, the usual Republican suspects have also been in talks:

The White House pointed out that Republican Senators Lindsey Graham and John McCain, and other US lawmakers and officials had also met with Brotherhood representatives in Egypt and elsewhere in recent months.

State Department barred inspection of Muslim Brotherhood delegation

Obama continues to demonstrate his solicitude for the Muslim Brotherhood. “IPT Exclusive: State Department Barred Inspection of Muslim Brotherhood Delegation,” by Steven Emerson for IPT News, April 9 (thanks to Pamela Geller):

The State Department broke with normal procedures last week when it ordered the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) not to conduct a secondary inspection on members of the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood’s Freedom and Justice Party (FJP) on their way to visit government officials and think tanks in the United States.This happened despite the fact that one member of the delegation had been implicated – though not charged – in a U.S. child pornography investigation, the Investigative Project on Terrorism (IPT) has learned.

According to senior enforcement sources and documents reviewed by the IPT, investigators had information tying Abdul Mawgoud Dardery to the pornography investigation that was based in Pennsylvania. He was the senior member in the four-person FJP delegation which held court with academic groups and met with senior officials at the White House and State Department last week. Authorities are concerned how Hizballah might react in case Israel or other countries get into a conflict with Iran, which sponsors the terrorist group, said FBI Assistant Special Agent Todd Mayberry, who oversees counter-terrorism in Michigan.

One challenge is being able to keep track of so many potentially radical websites and differentiating what might be a legitimate threat from harmless talk. Estimating there are thousands websites that could have extremist activity, he said:

“If I gave you the number of Michigan IP addresses that are on some of these sites, it’s staggering,” Mayberry said.

In his talk, Mayberry said that Hizballah is as much a threat as Al-Qaeda, if not more, in some ways.

“Hizballah is absolutely no joke,” Mayberry said. “Al-Qaeda is certainly a threat, but Hizballah” has been operating for decades against Israel and others.

“People underestimate Hizballah… Hizballah is a huge threat” that operates at a “much higher level than we’re dealing with on the Al-Qaeda side.”

Mayberry was also asked about a controversial memo from 1991 that was cited by authorities in the case of a Muslim charity in Texas, Holy Land Foundation. The memo indicated that some Muslim-American groups may have been involved in extremist activity. Mayberry said in response to the question: “You see a lot of the groups trying to distance themselves from their past.”

Wow. Look how slick the author of this piece – stealth Islamist Niraj Warikoo – put that, “a controversial memo form 1991.” That is a Muslim Brotherhood memorandum that lists frequent Warikoo contact CAIR as like-minded friends of the Muslim Brotherhood. Here is what Warikoo doesn’t tell you or link to, An Explanatory Memorandum on the General Strategic Goal for the Brotherhood in North America:

The Ikhwan must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and “sabotaging” its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God’s religion is made victorious over all other religions. Without this level of understanding, we are not up to this challenge and have not prepared ourselves for Jihad yet. It is a Muslim’s destiny to perform Jihad and work wherever he is and wherever he lands… 

Great segue as he again conceals facts, this time that Hamas-linked CAIR is waging legal jihad on the FBI:

Mayberry was also asked about the lawsuit filed earlier this month by Muslim-Americans who say they’re been profiled by federal agents at border crossings. According to the lawsuit, some agents asked the Muslims about their religious beliefs.

But Mayberry said such questions can be legitimate at times.

“I understand there are members of the Muslim community who think we should not ask these types of questions. Well, I don’t necessarily agree with that…What really are the offensive questions here?”

Mayberry said: “Those lawsuits do not affect the way we do business at all,” adding that, “A lot of it (the lawsuit) is grandstanding as far as I’m concerned.”

ALLEN WEST: MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD & OTHER EXTREMIST GROUPS ARE INFLUENCING U.S. STRATEGY

Rep. Allen West (R-Fla.) is never afraid to take a stand on the issues he holds dear, which is why the conservative politician is taking aim at the FBI for removing nearly 900 pages of allegedly-offensive training materials. According to West, this action, which was taken after Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) complained about some of the materials’ contents, is a form of “cultural suicide.”

Durbin, who wrote a letter to FBI director Robert Mueller about the situation, complained that the controversial documentation could lead Muslims and others to be targeted based on their religion. “There is a real risk that agents will be operating on false assumptions about Arab-Americans and American Muslims,” Durbin maintained.

West, though, said that the removal is evidence that extremist Muslim groups are holding sway over U.S. strategy. He discussed the issue of “tolerance” and its relation to the situation in an interview with Fox News’ “Fox & Friends” on Monday morning.

“We have to understand that when tolerance becomes a one-way street it leads to cultural suicide,” he said. “We should not allow the Muslim Brotherhood or associated groups to be influencing our national strategy.”

West’s main concern is that the U.S. seems to be watering down its definition of who America’s enemies are. In an attempt to decrease how intensely officials offend extremists, the politician claims that leaders are potentially endangering the nation.

“If we continue to be recalcitrant in identifying who the enemy is and want to be less offensive to them, then we’re going to put ourselves in a bad situation,” West proclaimed. “Now you have an environment of political correctness which precludes these agents from doing their proper job and due diligence to go after the perceived threat.”

Hizb-UT-Tahrir (HUT)….Islamic Socialism

Hizb-ut-Tahrir (Arabic for “The Party of Liberation”) has its roots in the political party al-Hay’at al-Tahrir al-Islami(“The Islamic Society of Liberation”), which in 1951 was established in Jordanian-controlled East Jerusalem by Sheikh Taqi-ud-deen Al-Nabahani (an associate and contemporary of the pro-Nazi Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, Sheikh Haji Amin Al-Housseini).

Hizb-ut-Tahrir defines itself as “a political group and not a priestly one,” a “political party whose ideology is Islam, so politics is its work and Islam is its ideology.” It “works within the Ummah [community of believers] … so that she adopts Islam as her cause and is led to restore the Khilafah [Caliphate, or Islamic kingdom] and the ruling by what Allah revealed.”

Rejecting Western notions of both democracy and capitalism as tools that allegedly have led to the colonization and subjugation of Islamic nations, Hizb-ut-Tahrir’s long-term objective is to replace existing governments with theocratic Muslim rule and to bring about a worldwide Islamic government under a single ruler (caliph). In such an ideal Islamic state, says Hizb-ut-Tahrir, “all of life’s affairs in society are administered according to the Shari’ah rules,” or strict Islamic law.

Hizb-ut-Tahrir states that it accepts “Muslim men and women as its members regardless of whether they are Arab or non-Arab, white or coloured, since it is a party for all Muslims.”

In its self-description, Hizb-ut-Tahrir declares: “Its work is not educational, as it is not a school, nor is its work concerned with giving sermons and preaching. Rather its work is political, in which the thoughts and laws of Islam are presented in order to act upon them and to carry them so as to establish them in life’s affairs and in the State.” Moreover, the organization professes a devotion to ”the struggle against the disbelieving imperialists, to deliver the Ummah from their domination and to liberate her from their influence by uprooting their intellectual, cultural, political, economic and military roots from all of the Muslim countries.”

Hizb-ut-Tahrir asserts that while it “does not use material power to defend itself or as a weapon against the rulers,” nevertheless “jihad has to continue till the Day of Judgement.” “So whenever the disbelieving enemies attack an Islamic country,” says Hizb, “it becomes compulsory on its Muslim citizens to repel the enemy. The members of Hizb-ut-Tahrir in that country are a part of the Muslims and it is obligatory upon them … to fight the enemy and repel them.”

Former Hizb-ut-Tahrir member Ed Husain, who left the organization and denounced it in his 2007 book The Islamist, says: “The only difference between Islamists from Hizb ut-Tahrir and jihadists, is that the former are waiting for their state and caliph before they commence jihad, while the latter believes the time for jihad is now.”

According to Heritage Foundation researcher Ariel Cohen, Hizb-ut-Tahrir is a “totalitarian organization, akin to a disciplined Marxist-Leninist party, in which internal dissent is neither encouraged nor tolerated.” Candidates for membership undergo two years of indoctrination, becoming full members only after they ”mel[t] with the Party.”  Members belong to compartmentalized cells and know the identities of only the others in that cell. “When a critical mass of cells is achieved,” writes Cohen, “according to its doctrine, Hizb may move to take over a country in preparation for the establishment of the Caliphate.” Hizb-ut-Tahrir reportedly has cells in 40 or more nations.

Today Hizb-ut-Tahrir, although splintered into four factions (most notably Hizb Waed), reportedly has tens of thousands of secret members across the Muslim world, attracted by its triumphalist Islamic future.

Hizb-ut-Tahrir is outlawed in Russia, Germany, France, the Netherlands, and numerous Muslim countries (including Egypt, Pakisan, and Saudi Arabia) that regard it as a radical, subversive, terrorist organization that spreads “hate and violence” and seeks to overthrow their governments.

Politico has a pdf of a paper written by Obama’s father entitled “ Problems facing our Socialism “. Obama Sr’s piece is dated July, 1965 and was published in the East Africa Journal. He goes on about some of the finer points of scientific socialism,interalia, and communism. He also seeks to define the differences between African socialism and Kenyan socialism. Here’s a sample.

The African tradition is fundamentally based on communal ownership of major means of production and sharing of fruits of labors, so expended in production, to the benefit of all, and yet the paper advocates land title deeds and private ownership of land-a major means of production.

Obama Sr on taxes.

Certainly there is no limit to taxation if the benefits derived from public services by society measure up to the cost in taxation which they have to pay. It is a fallacy to that there is this limit, and it is a fallacy to rely mainly on individual free enterprise to get the savings.
